The only best thing happened during gandhi ruling govt those days were our state sikkim being merged to Bharat ❤ I wonder what would have been our situation if we were not indians 😢

Even I'm proud of being an Indian but the fact that it was annexed on gunpoint is utter disgrace to the fact that our chogyal was blindly trusting the indira government and even he held a high post in Indian Army but the same army put him on house arrest and killed few of our sikkim guards... So learn your history first... Sikkim had choose India or china eventually but the costs it beared was the immigration it faced if you only look at population census and the rate of population growth...genuine sikkimese would have been more richer but due to lack of knowledge like you it's all good
@@phuntsoglepcha3547: Well the land belong to Lepcha people and Kirat people and then Tibetans brought their Chogyal and all political elites and even vast majority of Kazis were in one way or other related to Tibetans. You as a Lepcha have no problem with the fact that Tibetans introduced their rule over Lepchas and Limbus ??? And yet you feel "disgraced" by the Indian government and Indian army ??? The Indian army had to take action only after it seemed that the Chyogal was siding with China and some IB intel officers had evidence that in Kathmandu some Chinese (and even some Pakistani intels) were in contact with some officials of Chyogal government. For a very long time India (or even British India) did not try to take over the Chogyal government and replace it with "rule of the people, for the people, by the people". The Indian government was generous and kind to the Chogyal's family for a very long time and even did NOT prosecute them in any court after replacing them but rather gave them monetary compensation and respect and it was the Indian government which gave article 370 to Sikkim by amending it's own Indian constitution even when the Indian government clearly had a much bigger upper hand in the bargain. The Indian government did NOT try to change the language or culture of Sikkim (unlike what China did to Tibet) or even did NOT try to fill Indians from other states into Sikkim (unlike what for example China did to Tibet and now even 2/3 of Lhasa's population is Han Chinese and they rule like colonizers and masters of Tibetans). Sure there is immigration problem in Sikkim but you have the "right to vote" for the leaders who are willing to solve the immigration problem. Last but not the least It was the Indian government which gave you "Democracy" (and "Right to Vote") and today you can choose your own ruler of Sikkim (every five years) and do NOT have to live under the political elites from Tibet.
Whatever but our king chogyal palden Thendup namgyal was the person with golden heart who sacrificed his throne for the aspiration of his subjects without any bloodshed unlike any monarch would have done..he provided 371f as constitutional shield even he was about to step down ..we are proud indian but very very proud to be to be the descendants of his subject..may god provide heavenly abode to great king 🙏
