I'm the regular American mix of this and that. We can trace Scottish and I had a grandfather a few generations back who was full indigenous tho he was renamed George and as my grandma would tell us, the only thing we knew of him was that he spoke very rarely about the culture and tradition he lost. I'm hoping to share with people here in India who the first people of America are and that they still, against all odds, fight on today. My son did a speech in class about Native American heritage month and it was encouraging people to learn more about the traditions and culture. I think RU-vid is the greatest thing ever created because of these videos and others that show the heritage many of us have a drop of but can't be part of. Funny story. When I was 10ish early 1990s, I called 411 and got the information for the Blackfoot tribal office in Montana and asked them if I could track my great great great+ grandfather but obviously no one could but it was the most exciting moment of my whole life, actually talking to a person who could have been related to my ancestors. You know how kids fill drama in their heads🤷♀️ anyone else remember those long distance phone call bills😆 for whatever reason I've always been stuck to that one drop left. I feel like it's so important to share the real stories of the people who can reach through generations and still stir the souls of so many.
