Well done. I'm originally from kilmacow in kilkenny. My dad used to build his own machines out of other yuks 😁.... he would be well fascinated by this if he was still around. Fair play
Just maybe the video man could only come and shoot that video on Saturday morning. And just maybe the lads obliged him by leaving a couple of loads in the field so he could get the video. 🤫😉 The boys are good but cant stop the weather unfortunately...
More to it than that, the coffin box mechanism on the 5830 which transferred the grass from the chopping drum to the blower weren’t exactly the most reliable and tended to be troublesome. As the man himself said, they were happy with the mengele harvester, all they needed was the power from the 5830. They’re probably getting as much if not more output from this combination as they would have from the original 5830 anyway. Top class engineering to be fair, these guys know their stuff
You took the words out of my mouth, that’s a lot of time & effort to end up with a unit which still has limited output. The price of the Mengele alone would go along way towards buying a decent 840 or 860, not to mention the price of the 5830 on top of that again, and by the looks of their other equipment they’d be well placed to keep grass away from a bigger harvester. Interesting to find out what the total price of the machine was after the conversion. Only downside to a bigger self propelled machine though for a farmer or 2/3 farmers doing their own work is the potential for having to pay big money for parts as they can be quite expensive to maintain with genuine parts. As the owner of an 860 I can more than vouch for that!!€€😫. That said, it’s nice to be able to blast 70/80 acres out of it in a day when the forecast is bad☔️
Ford made tanks and fighters, Mitsubishi annd BMW made fighters, Mercedes and Rolls Royce made bombers, Steyr were built in an underground factory that used to make V1 rockets. No one is innocent. No one
What a misinformed comment. Why some people feel the need to show their stupidity on a public forum I can never understand. If you auctual listen to the man he explains why they done it! And if you knew anything about the coffin box setup on those old JD you might realise how he has dramatically improved the machine.
