Silage '22. Fendt 828 with RARE reverse drive forager at work.

In today's video we see a 1st for me, a Fendt 828 (quite a large tractor round these parts) at work with a Reco Mengele reverse drive forage harvester. I have no idea who own this setup but it was awesome to see. In support is a Fiatagri F140 and a Claas arion 400 series.
Filmed in Cumbria, UK.

Nice video. The reverse drive fendt takes the spotlight but the fiat on the trailer is lovely

What a find Jacob, I’m envious! Not only is that Fendt 828 a rarity in Cumbria but also the reverse drive Mengele chopper, both of which I’ve never seen before. Nice couple of classics with the Fiat and Renault Ares on the rake along with that 10t Fraser trailer, another less common sight now. Lovely video!

Thank you David, all new to me and all great to see. That Fiat sounded even better in person. Surprisingly on this particular day I actually saw two 828’s on silage, it was meant to rain the day after so everyone was using whichever contractor they could find it seemed!

@@jacooboophotography I can imagine that Jacob as the weather’s a bit iffy to say the least. Hoping to catch up with a local farmer who chops his own grass this morning. He’s cut his first 4 fields but still another 150 acres to go at. Basically he’s just getting in what he can when he can!

I’d thought about having a look this morning, but as it’s meant to rain soon I’m not convinced it’s worth trying really, hopefully you get some good footage and see them at work!

@@jacooboophotography I hope to Jacob, even just an hour escape from work into the fields would do. I’m lucky that the farm is close to work and they’re fairly flexible employers!
