Jesus was good, and Judas was self-centered and treacherous. Jesus washed Judas's feet even though they both knew that Judas was going to send Jesus to his death.

Though then again: Jesus's death reconciled sinners with God, saving us from our own wrongdoing and giving us a chance to become better people... Whereas L's death is simply sad, with no real upside.

He’s one of the best protagonist and villians in anime imo.

Ngl, the most entertaining parts of Death Note for me where the moments where Light wasn't having it his way and had troubles and obstacles. Hated every single time he succeeded in something (since most of the times that meant he killed someone selfishly and with no mercy)

Light actually wanted to kill criminals but in the way he became a criminal himself

Kira is,Not Light. What I mean is that The Death note corrupted Light like it would corrupt almost anyone who used it,the thing is that Light was an innocent,kind, caring guy as we see his real personality in the episodes where he has lost his memories of the death note,He doesn't even let L let the Higuchi business guys be sacrificed because they are humans, Light wouldn't have used the notebook if he knew that it worked aswell,When he took a life that's when he changed into Kira

I'm someone who does not believe in that reasoning, and imagine that light's true personality is what allowed him to be corrupted by power, not the other way around. Light would have corrupted with ANY sort of unbalanced power dynamic; hell, I'd even argue that just getting a senior position in a cutthroat career would have caused him to go off the deep-end. Maybe not to the extent of murder, but internally he would still be undeniably an asshole. Light is kira, kira is light. He developed an alter ego to provide himself with an emotional disconnect from his actions, and justify his killings within his mind.

@@wasphern There isn't a need to finish the anime before watching that if I remember correctly. The ONLY reason it wasn't adapted into the anime and only added into the movie's is because the writer didn't want the audiance to think Light is THAT messed up. Suzy kinda already knows lets be honest

You're basically right, the show just has them fall in line and not carry out the test, although Rem killing Watari and L doesn't by itself disprove the 13 days rule.
