I've heard of this game thanks to the Joueur du Grenier (the French equivalent of AVGN). What's amazing with this game is how the entire thing is a mindfuck. To quote him: "Level 6 is a...world's fair? How did we came from a factory or a military base to some sort of carnival where I kill guys dressed like Pinocchios among blue giraffes with staircases up their asses?!?!" And that's only one of them. Good run, though. And yeah, that ending is a WTF moment.
But of course...! The ending makes complete sense. See: It is every soldier's duty to battle against the fiercest of enemies - such as the "Gears of War", the Green Square with Cannons, the Crying Skull, the horrible screeching 90's Mac, the Sad Jester, an ENT from LOTR, and of course the legendary Sphynx. Once a soldier succeeds in overpowering each of these foes his face is showcased through 3 different color-layered portraits standing before the Ancient Pillar of Purple Beads. Simple as that.
Ty Merlin. From the looks of it arcade games seem to get more views than NES games do so perhaps I should make a return to uploading arcade games. They seem to be in more demand these days.
Thanks. I have to admit.. up until about a few weeks ago I had no idea this game existed but it wasn't until I was browsing my NES romset that I decided to play it.
