I just picked up sea salt silent switches to modify my Keychron V! (my first ever mechanical keyboard) and they're amazing. I love the Gateron Brown switches that came with my Keychron, but they are just a tad bit too loud for the office at work. I LOVE the Sea Salt Silent switches! I seriously recommend them to anyone that wants silent switches.
It's kind of strange they are only offering it in the one colorway. At least currently. Given it's an all plastic board it sure seems like molding it in a bunch of colors would be simpler. But all the same either of the two in house options starting at 106 is pretty excellent value. The keycaps out of the box are nice, the in house switches are pretty nice. The fact these guys are offering complete inhouse boards now gives them that same edge that Akko, and Keychron had enjoyed for years. Keychrons moved away from it's in house switch (to my understanding Gateron made the in house switch for them and basically just offered to start selling them the gateron pro's for the same money so they didn't have to continue to make essentially the same switch at two different price points).
I really like the styling of this keyboard, but the knob is just turn me off honestly. I wish we could just change the knob or just not have the knob at all. I would definitely change the keycaps with something like GMK 9009 to make it even more retro because I also hate the fonts of it.
I've been looking for a silent, wireless gaming keyboard and this falls right into that! It's crazy how hard it is to find that combination elsewhere.. the beautiful retro style is a bonus, but i wish the RGB would shine through the letters..
@@shinejnn2 but I already like the ones they come with, I just wish they were shine through. Besides, it's really hard to find specifically custom shine through keycaps that fit the keyboard exactly, especially since I live in a country without Amazon or the likes 😔 I hope the backlight is enough to see the letters at night
@@toastedclosure2770 ooh I see, well I guess it will be fine as long as you use it under some light, for me I always turn my light during pc session soo yeah
Mine arrived this weekend - the display screen is a little gimmicky but I love the sound profile. I needed a keyboard for work with a number pad and I really liked my last epomaker, so I bought another ♥️
@@MsNikkiCrucio Nice! My next step is trying new keycaps - I bought the keygeak candy set ( gonna mix offset them with off white caps so it’s not too busy). If they don’t look good, I have another keyboard I can use them on🤞
How do the Sea Salt Silent switches here compare to the AKKO V3 Fairy Silent Switches? Been looking at both options abd trying to figure out which is quieter.
Got this a few days ago. LOVE the typing experience on it. The sea salt silent switches are very quiet. Not totally quiet, but close. The extra screen is very nice, but one thing to note is that if you're an American, they go with celsius/date and time in a European format. Since America is still stuck on fahrenheit that's kinda a bummer.
im thinking of getting salt silent cause i love thoccy switches and marbly sounded ones, could you tell me if its silent for playing at night but still has a smooth feel when you click and has some click sound to it (maybe it sounds different irl compared to the mic he uses)
I'm trying to find a keyboard thats dead silent and i thought this would be the one, but it still makes sounds when you type. I've seen people mod keyboard but i cant do that. So is there no keyboard thats actually dead silent you can buy from companies?
Love the review. I have been eyeing this one. I have the TH96 (6000mAh) and the battery is eh, so-so - it lasts a couple of days with constant RBG/wireless. It would be nice if the battery proved to last longer in this....
Is the knob removable? I really love the keyboard but like someone else mentioned it really is turning me about as I don’t think it fits the rest of the board.
Thank for the review. I am looking at purchasing one off Amazon. And I am torn between switches. I like the sounds of the flamingo switch and the budgerigar switch. But on Amazon my choice is the Flamingo and the Dawn Pink switch. Is the Dawn Pink the budgerigar? Also, if I get the flamingo switch with MOA keycaps, will that help sound?
Nice video ! But I really miss the videos were you modify keyboards... I made my channel and you was one of my inspirations, please bring the old videos back !
honestly i like this keyboard i wanna use the numb pads again i mean its been a long time i never use my num pad but i know if i got i have one im gonna be using it more since im still use to it. but besides being a gamer its useless for me and takes up space... but im having a debate on whether i should switch to "full size" or stick with 75 percent keyboard... this keyboard is more a compact thats why i want to get it doesnt take that much space and also my desk is too small. right now im using the rk 84 and modded myself and one thing i like about this keyboard is that it has a 2.4ghz bluetooth and can connect to multiple devices. but another good thing about this keyboard that should be on the rt100 is the 2 usb extra slot for connecting ur mouse and headset if u have a usb headset. i get that they add the mini display but having those 2 usb slot is good too. i kept changing my mind if i should replace it because i need those 2 usb slot and if i can still game with a "full size" or a 1800 compact keyboard
How were you able to get the entire screen to be an image? on mine, im only able to get the image in the lower right with the date/time/battery/etc display on the sides
You got a new follower! Dude I was talking crab before watching this review sucks like many others, but I was WRONG! Thank you for reviewing this one, I’m getting one soon! …or can you donate me that one? 😅 I’m starting my own business ok? 😅
it will work the reviewers never really do their job. To use the CPU % you need to click the sync button in the software, but in order to use the sync button you have to launch the software in administrator mode.
it doesnt matter if they pay you to say something posetive or not, you gonna be posetive cuz you know they will come back and sponsore you again even just the possebility is enough to not talk smack about them
I love the little monitor, but must say it is pretty terrible. I tried everything I could and I can only get the picture to work. Date/Time and sensors do not work! If you have a trick on how to get them working I would be grateful. I still 1000% recommend this board. Crazy what you get for the price. Also by tuning do you mean lubing the stabs?
I've noted the same, so many Epomaker boards lately. I mean, I cannot say about board quality, but so many people always say that EPomaker gets Akko stuff, renames it and voilà, 2x the price. Also, the shipping is stupidly expensive, and considering that other brands/stores have cheaper options in that regard, well... Pfff
Be honest, you wouldn't give a negative review to someone paying you. Also Holy shit dude you just compared a cheap plastic know to a rolls. Ok I'm done with this review
