Good question ! At the start of the game on the left theres a "talent" tab where you can use your gems to buy extra skills and turrets that are needed. These are really important skills as you move to more than 10 levels. You would need some skills. Maybe watch ADS to get those gems or play the nights which you won again and again to get more gems.
