The voices of many actors and actresses from the silent film era have been lost to us forever. We have no idea what Mabel Normand, Florence La Badie, or others sounded like. But there were some stars who were able to transition to talkies or left their voices on audio recordings such as Rudolph Valentino who sang his favorite ballad.
