This song for me invokes a sense of reminiscence. So when it plays for the first time when you meet Maria it’s like the town of silent hill telling us and James “this is what you wanted right? This is what you wished could’ve been right?” It’s so petty and mean to James but in the better endings it proves to be a crucial factor in James growth.
+GraveyardDave19 Akira Yamaoka music helped me sooooo much during my youth (which was a HARD time for me). I can't imagine what it would be like if I didnt discover is Art.
YES I REDISCOVERED IT!!!! Used to be my favorite SH song!! that violin..I could just see it while I walked through dark woods in the early morning , the air think with misty and dew, the slightest moon in the sky shining through. Seriously if you go camping or live outdoors, go on a super late night hike in the right weather and listen to this. So chill, no fear. pe@ce
Just sit and listen to the whole thing... you'll start to hear instruments you never imagined were there... it's like getting to know a person... and then it ends
@@Spirituhim Maybe someday they can bring it back. Somebody trying to tell a story with a meaning will eventually show up at Konami... until then, I'll be waiting.
Fuck, that's literally the only one I haven't played. I watched the first hour of it, but after that, I said "nope.. I gotta buy this game and play it through"
I've been coming back to this video since 2013 and I just love it so much. I'm glad the silent hill soundtracks have finally made it to spotify but this video is the og and i'll have it on repeat while I'm doing just about anything. Thank you for posting this
@ 14:15 ive never played the silent hill games but when james finds maria, and she says “the hotel isn’t that way, it’s this way” after that sentence, the ost in the game should have gotten darker to foreshadow the nightmare james is trapped in, and the ugly truth of what he’s going to find out
The greatest type of music is the type that shapes who you are as a person. "Good" music can very well be subjective but I find that the music that I consider to be the greatest is the one that inspires my tastes for years to come.
Vaya que esta pieza te induce al pensamiento profundo, a una posible reflexión sobre lo que haz hecho, estás haciendo y puedes hacer. Al menos eso es lo que a mí me provoca. Qué pieza tan maravillosa de Akira
I Missed Those Moments when i first got PC Version of Silent Hill 2. Majority of the Tracks are Mind blowing. Thanks to one of the Best Japanese Composer Akira Yamaoka.
É difícil descrever esse som. É como uma nostalgia. Um desejo realizado após uma longa espera. Talvez simbolize um pouco de luz e verdade para a alma torturada do protagonista.
@@darkmessengerofanotherworl2840 No... my late wife. I can't believe it you could be her twin.... your face, your voice, just your hair and clothes are different
New sub. Thanku so much for sharing these with us! I SO loved the first movie. I haven't been able to see the second. Its nice to have the music tho. Have a great day.
1 is good but has bad graphics for nowadays, 2 is essential and I would definitely recommend you play it, and 3 I haven't played yet but hear it's not as good as 3 but still worth playing. All the rest are dick and balls, and I wouldnt bother.
While the 1st game hasn't aged the best, I wholeheartedly recommend it. I go back to it sometimes and it still definitely spooks me. I could just be a pussy so who knows? The 2nd game is a masterpiece. Play it. The 3rd game can be argued to be just as good as 2 but in a different way. The best thing about 2 is it's narrative while 3 shines in the gameplay department and environments. I don't know too much about 4 other than it's very divisive and feels very very different to the rest of the series. It's basically the Sonic CD of Silent Hill. I'd say at least give it a shot. After this, the franchise was given to western developers and hooooooo boy. Homecoming is pure horse dick. Don't even fucking bother. I know next to nothing about Origins, but I heard it was at least 'ok' but had one of the worst protagonists in the series. Shattered Memories is good but very un-silent hill. Downpour has some good in it but it's mostly dog shit. And then there's like a mobile game or something??? I don't know. who cares? And that left us with 'P.T.' a pretty interesting game that came out of nowhere on ps4 and was later revealed to be a new game in the series called Silent Hills. Yeah, it was plural this time, so that means it's extra spooky! It had Hideo Kojima and Guillarmo Del Toro working on it. It was legitimately good, but due to some complications with Konami, Kojima left and made his own studio under Sony. So the game got fucking canned and Konami threw their hands up and just about abandoned the industry all together and made very questionable decisions after that whole thing. So unfortunately, this whole thing ends on a depressing and somber note. Appropriate for Silent Hill, I guess. :/
I get night terrors and sleep paralysis and silent Hill has influenced these dreams. alot of the images I conjure in these dreams are sometimes hard to deal with and listening to the soundtrack for this game which is one of my favorite games, in a subtle way helps me deal with sleep paralysis
I hope you're doing okay these days. The best cure for sleep paralysis is not too fear but too accept, when you accept they can no longer feed on your panic. Also wiggle your toes lol.
Sorry to hear that man hope you’re better now.. crazy I’ve had some horrible sleep paralysis in the past and it was some of the worst things I’ve ever had to experience. Months on end loosing sleep because you’re too afraid to see shit.. I feel for you bro you’re not alone
I play all silent hill on my smartphone sh1(pretty spooky) sh2 (not too spooky but legend) sh3 (the best) sh origins(spooky) sh4 (makes me sleepless like getting carried into a hole) sh sm (boring) sh home coming (the story is too short)sh downpours ( not too spooky) idk why sh 4 the room always on my mind
1,2,3 and "Origins" are my favourite, but if you would just enjoy walking through the city without zombies, try Alchemilla. that one is best for that as it has no monsters. You can still "die" from falling or something falling on you.
