@@rhyvonnaqueli3026 Play the games and see how you'll feel then. Trust me, it's so much different in comparison to the movie, the horror will dig its way into your mind and play with your emotions in so many ways.
2006.. I was like 14/15 years old that time.. what a great movie indeed. I am such a silent hill fanatic fans so seeing the movie one is also amazing as the game..
Believe me when I say this to all those who've seen the movie yet not gotten to experience the games. Silent hill will play with your emotions. They utilize psychological horror to make you feel uneasy, where normally you may play a scary movie or game in the dark, these titles can make you feel afraid to play even with the lights on. Where the longer you play the more on edge you'll get, thoughts creeping into the back of your mind even when you least expect it. The music you hear through this video? It's only just a few ost that Akira and his team made, which by the way they've even got tracks made with the use of a distorted dentist drill, industrial tools and more. There's a good reason these games are loved and terrifying alike. The early titles truly are something else for you to experience.
I been fan of Silent Hill since 1999, I used to play aloot that game, then Silent Hill 2 with James and SH3 with Heather... I had very bad expectations about this movie but when I see it I rrally really like it, you really can feel that "taste" of the original games... the nurse scene and this one are my favorites.
There’s a real silent hill, a real town that will forever be on fire. It’s in Pennsylvania and I lived right by it, it’s vandalized and has graffiti but I think that just adds to the creepiness of it
A lot of things had to be cut sadly. They never got to the church in time in the hotel sequence in the previous scripts. That atelier was going to be the place for the 3th Otherworld transition and Anna was going to die there. I prefer how she dies here though.
@@bluemoon9501If you are referring to this one, then no. They are on the streets for other cutscenes, but un the Fog World. They were suppossed to meet Dahlia in front of a bridge instead of in the church, then Rose and Christabella have a small conversation while they go to the hospital. Cybil doesn't go there in this script.
I remember reading the original scripts and damn, were they actually good. Although, this version is still awesome. I would’ve liked to see those different versions
Honestly this part of the movie was so f*cking killer... Completely blew me away the first time and fully let me know... This is definitely a Silent Hill movie.
Notice how starting from 2:09 the background audio started to dip, growing more and more calm, less intense from the start. And then as the Darkness casts overhead everything went dead silent. And then ofc comes the bone chilling audio of the Otherworld, overtakes the scene. It is their turn. I freaking love it.
I love this movie and man that scene is by far one of the most brutal in cinema history especially the barbed wire at the end lol visually this movie is nuts though some of the cgi hasn't aged well. The behind the scenes is very interesting to see how they put it all together.
Kind of wish they'd make a proper silent hill movie. One that doesn't unnecessarily add monsters from sh2 and focuses on atmosphere rather than action or the plot. Honestly they can do the sh2 thing of the town as grounds for character study as the plot. The visuals of this movie definitely show potential and Akira Yamaoka's music and sound design don't need to be replaced.
There is no movie scene so brutal that can stay in your brain for years this was a great scene it was a well made movie with some flaws but I really loved it
Pyramid head was the most interesting monster of all. To me. The way he looked. Moved. This movie had some great bizarre terrifying monsters. Stuff from very very bad dreams!
Something about this movie the atmosphere here, the way "lisa" and officer sybil's look after getting attacked by the people in the church is very unsettling, aswell the burned girl it's just so creepy.
I have seen a multitude of horror movies and many many many kills in those horror movies but when Pyramid Head flayed that woman in one go with one hand I gotta be honest, I said out loud "that's a new one".
It's a sign that is supposed to protect against misfortune and witchcraft. Notice how every time they address Rose as a witch, they make that gesture towards her.
I saw this pyramid head guy when i was still a kid in my dreams. Even now i am still terrified of him. I didn't know i will see him in real life (i mean in reel life). He is one of the monsters in my dream world. Creepy!
I really don’t understand why pyramid head features in the film???? He’s supposed to be James’ punisher from the second game He should only exist in James’ purgatory 🤷♂️🤦♂️ Please inform me if I’m wrong
You can just say the Pyramid Head of the movie has a different meaning than the game counterpart, but well it's pretty clear he was used because he is an iconic creature, they adjusted his purpose to fit the story.
Just becaust James resolved his issues doesn't mean that his conceptual tormentor goes away; it's a permanent addition to the other world due to how significantly violent and horrendous it truly is, and what it represents encapsulates its inclusion into the Silent Hill mythos.
Imagine one day the world is in Chaos. And we brought before God on judgement day. And your sent hell and this is just the beginning. Of a Infinte life time of torture and fear
