@Temmie H8tred Silent Hill 1 isn't a Sony property. It was developed and published by Konami themselves.

There was a reason. Sony wanted the story of the original silent hill to stay a PlayStation exclusive which makes sense since the story of silent hill 3 was linked to the first game.

@@panterxbeats The Xbox version just looks like the contrast got turned down, compared to the PS2.

SH4 on PS2 has massively better lighting and self-shadows which are completely missing from Xbox. Also audio compression on Xbox, same as with SH2.

Yeah the encoding on component is not great , you get allot of noise. One of the other problems with recording PS2 is that there are also artifacts from low-grainy color space. It makes encoding these games really dodgy on youtube.

Capture output is holy shit for comparative,the vidéo show here talk by herselve,the texture and pixelisation are just inexistant on CRT TV. The output capture false the reality,because resizing. I see at this release time of this game on CRT make me impressing,especially when this scene appear,the very good texturing of the women skin,certainly not representative on this vidéo. False, PS2 has better lighting quality and self-shadows, also Post-FX and better audio. Xbox is a downgrade, too dark, bad contrast, etc.

@@VergilHiltsLT Xbox has self-shadows at 4:57. Uploader also seemed to fail to adjust the brightness, making the Xbox version look more drab than it actually is. Pretty sure both versions have soft shadows, PC is missing them however

@@so-vp2qh Nope, the lighting system on PS2 is far superior. Brighter whites and deeper blacks. The Xbox version has lacking colours and some VFX, along with worse sound quality.

Not really, Xbox looks more sharper, but looks more darker, and thats why looks less sharper here on the video, but on componente cables the Xbox looks almost like native 720p

​@@SeiyaDLuffy Xbox lacks dithering so you're lying, antialiasing washes out details, contrast and lighting is also incorrect on Xbox. Light sources don't emit same amount of light on Xbox.

@@VergilHiltsLT yeah, xbox versions looks like have differente lightning effects, and looks very dark overall, even than pc version, but i mean that the actual res on the xbox version is higher than how it showed on the video, running at native 480p with component cables, while ps2, even with the component cables, runs the game at 480i, but looks like this video uses the rca cables instead then the component ones

@@SeiyaDLuffy That's correct, although with HD Retrovision component cables the picture is very clean, especially with OSSC or Retrotink. It looks like 480p on my Sony Bravia TV set.

Yup, I can see some blockiness on edges of things on the PS2 side, on the Xbox it didn't appear plus it was a bit blurry.

It's weird i remember seeing an xbox 360 version of silet hill 4 but never bought it few years later look up the game and tgere was no xbox 360 version just the original xbox!?! I was weirded out how.

No es HD como tal, pero la versión de GOG de Silent Hill 4 tiene mayro resolución y framerate que la original, ahora si es la versión definitiva

@@SeiyaDLuffy acabo de comprar una Xbox con rgh y justamente instale la retrocompatibilidad y descargue este mismo juego y se mira mil veces mejor que la versión de PS2 y la versión de Xbox en mi tele se mira muy bien Así es que comprar versiones especiales no lo creo Está Se mira muy bien

@@fiorella132 la versión de Xbox de Silent Hill 4 es mejor que la de PS2 en apartado gráfico y calidad de sonido, en lo único que es inferior es en las cinemáticas que son FMV, pero no es un gran problema ya aue la calidad en general es superior

@@SeiyaDLuffy cabe Resaltar que tengo la resolución en 720p y se mira muy bien en una sony bravia y se 42 tipo FULL HD LED el juego incluso va más fluido he tenido ambas versiones de consolas y puedo dar fe que se mira más nítido y con más definición del Xbox la otra versión se mira un poquito con más brillo y más contraste

Best display cables for PS2 are RGB/peritel and YUV (the YUV allows to play in 480p in some games)... the same goes for XBox too by the way, YUV > RGB/peritel > S-video > RCA/component.
