I do have to say, Silent Hill 1 is special in its own right, its unique in its own right. none of the silent hills feel the same compared to it.

The freaky painting of a door at the school (why was it there at the beginning gives you the creeps) becoming an actual door in the otherworld was one of the more low key most frightening moments of the game.

I actually think the crappy PS1 graphics as well as the stilted dialogue added to the horror of Silent Hill 1. It will be hard to replicate for sure especially with the Silent Hill 2 remake on PS5.

What I admire most about players of such game is their sense of direction. Without even looking at the map, you know where you are going. When I played this before, I think every minute or two I looked at the map to see where I would be heading next.

My mom and my uncle used to play this game (Silent Hill 1) and Resident Evil: Nemesis. Now both of them already passed away 😢 so me, my brother and my cousin sometimes playing this game for nostalgia. This game is our childhood. Nothing beat the feeling safe on warm blanket, with tasty snacks, and the sound of your dad laughing and cheering your mom beat monster bosses. My mom is badass.

And then when you finally get a weapon to shoot the flying things I couldn’t hit shit on those tank controls. Lol. So I just said “nope” and put the game down forever. So my first play through of a silent hill game was SH2. I’ve only ever watched others play this one.

It really pisses me off that they decided to remake SH2 first, especially when SH1 is celebrating an anniversary next year. What a slap in the face for Day 1 Silent Hill fans. This will forever be my most favorite game. I've played it several times, at least a hundred, and I've looked and read and analyzed and there's no answer to any of it. A member of Team Silent may spill the beans about a certain key point here and there, but the game itself never explains the snow or White Claudia or any of the other mysteries. It's always funny to me when someone posts a video claiming to have the answers, and it's just more speculation. The mystery is what keeps me a fan, and the paradise that is the Otherworld. Soothes my depressed soul. That's why I hate anything past part 4. It became cheap and watered down punishment porn. Everyone wanted to recreate SH2 and it fell short.

I wish if they should remake the first one and second of Silent Hill.
