Proves that a successful movie adaptation doesn't 100% have to follow the source material but it does have to be a faithful adaptation. You can try your own tricks and tweaks with scenes and dialogue just so long as the events and plot closely follow the original. Go too much off the rails and you get the kind of B-Movies alot of adaptations are.
