Silent Planet Is Top F*cking Tier. 

Signal's my fav just cause I love weird shit but they're all phenomenal so far. This album is gonna be on another level.

I just love Garrett's clean vocals. Not gonna lie, I loved Thomas' clean vocals but having the band have to adapt and have Garrett do the cleans was probably one of the best things that has happened to Silent Planet since Mitch joined the band. Obviously the most unspoken thing about Garrett's clean vocals is that there is obvious autotune, but we've seen other bands have transitional periods where the screaming vocalist starts doing clean vocals, or they bring someone new into the band and it just takes forever for that band to improve and adapt with the changes made and I feel like Silent Planet has just done that seemlessly. We all know that it took Oli Sykes like a decade to start singing properly, so I'm honestly super impressed with Garrett. the drumming in SP is always perfect, I never feel any need to speak about that because there's just nothing to say except it's perfect. The guitar riffs in this are sick, I love how Mitch always puts in so many different little things that just make a song stand out. Not just the riffs but also the ambiance, it's all Mitch. He's a master at his craft. I don't know how involved Nick was with the bass on the new album, I know that Garrett was talking about this album being finished long before Thomas left the band, but I also know that Nick toured with the band before becoming an official member as far back as 2022, so I don't know who's doing the bass but it's really good on this song, nothing too technical, but the tone is just great. For me the music video is a little weird, kind of feels like a Garrett Russell diva spotlight moment, but he totally deserves it, after everything he's been through, after all the albums he wrote that have helped so many people, and after the accident, and improving his vocals, he deserves so much praise. I'm sure there will be a third video, probably next month that will complete this story a little more, probably Offworlder as it seems that we're approaching some kind of alien interaction in the videos, but the album also being so close to release is great. I didn't enjoy Iridescent as much as previous albums but this new album is a step back in the right direction for sure.

The chorus gives me MAJOR Underoath vibes mixed with Currents. That breakdown is so sick too

Antimatter! I like it since it’s completely different than their usual stuff and just has that funky lead. Silent planet is currently my favorite band rn. I cannot wait to see them next month for their extended set in Austin TX 🤠

Antimatter still my favorite though. But absolutely enjoying these new songs, and this is probably my most anticipated album for the rest of this year

Saw Silent Planet with August Burns Red and Silverstein a few years ago and having never heard them before, I instantly fell in love. They just keep getting better and I absolutely can’t wait to hear more.

Superbloom might just be aoty. All 3 singles have been different but also consistently good. Yes we got heavener and tmbte and tdws and what not but silent planet just has something different that clicks with me. Cant wait til nov 3rd. Collider takes the cake for me

I just wanna say I got into Silent Planet because of you!! I was listening to a Spotify playlist that like, refreshes through the day and it had Second Sun on it at one point and I was like "hey! This is that band that metalbirb has mentioned!" then the next time the playlist refreshed, it had Antimatter on it and I was like "this also fucks severely, and metalbirb really likes this band.....I'm gonna check them out" aaaaaand then I havent stopped listening to Silent Planet since I like all three singles for like.... Different reasons I can't actually pick a fave 😭😭😭 like :signal: scratches a brain itch so good, Antimatter like.... Lyrically /hits/, and Collider is a certified banger. I can't pick a fave

Honestly, Garrett not doing cleans has been holding them back. That was the one thing that always drove me away from SP is their cleans, but Garretts here are top tier for me

This song took me by surprise when I got home from work yesterday I think I've listened to it about 20x and still find it awesome! I don't wanna call AOTY because still got TessaracT and Thy Art coming out this year but dayum dude! Also this was their best single for me for sure Antimatter second then Signal.

I gotta say I am very happy to hear new stuff from them that sounds refreshing, out of what they've done before, with still their signature elements (even thaugh I would have loved more riffage on this track cause Mitch knows how to bring up the song with it but that's my opinion) otherwise very excited for the album this chorus will grow on me for sure but the groove of Antimatter keeps it for me

I’ve really enjoyed everything they’ve released since Iridescent, but it’s all such a massive departure from their iconic sound. When this album comes out, I’m almost positive I’m going to love it, but it’s not going to feel like Silent Planet. It’s not even an evolution of sound, it feels like a total departure. Still a phenomenal sound and I will continue to support these guys

First off, love your channel. But I find it interesting you’re so much more down for this than Invent Animate. They’re like nearly the same instrumentally, but maybe the vocal difference does it for ya. I just remember you saying IA had something missing for you, but SP is quite close to IA in layer usage. The main differences are the atmospheric moods they present imo. Not talking smack but I just found it interesting.

My only issue was Garrett's vocals on the Chorus. Sounds like there's too much pitch correction. Seemingly unnecessarily done too
