One, they mean the size of the total tram system. The Luas only has 2 lines, none of which are particularly long by tram standards. Two, the trams on the Luas arent even the longest in the world. If we're talking a single tram in pure length, then Budapest beats it with their 58 meter long trams on Line 1. If we're talking total consists, then its even worse, as several cities around the world but especially North America couple multiple trams together regularly. Examples include Seattle, Ottawa, and Edmonton, all of which couple trams together to have consists that are over 90 meters long per departure.
