Totally agree with you regarding Kurseong roads. They are super narrow and extremely steep and will test your skills. My cousin's xuv 500 had to make 3 point turns in some of the hairpins on the way to Dow Hill.
Direct sunlight on your eyes impairs visibility but the real problem here seems to be the dust and grime in your windshield which is scattering the sunlight and made the matter worse. You probably have used the windshield washer some time before which might have contributed to the problem as well. Faced similar issue in our trip to North Bengal just after we started our journey from home at 2am. We were getting blinded by headlights of oncoming traffic. Visibility was so bad that after an hour of trying with different defogger settings, pouring water over the windscreen and wiping with newspapers, we decided to pull over and wait for sunrise because it was becoming too risky to push forward.
someone driven on these roads : dow hill , mirik's orange garden & shivakhola .... will never ever face challenges on any roads in the world including leh Ladakh
Hey Anupam, you are doing well for sure. The first and foremost thing is: you have to keep your nerve strong at every curve of the hill. Moner modhye kono rokom voy ba negativity niye 1ta single curve ghurben na... otai hochhe amader weak point. You can travel these hilly areas orderwise: 1. Jhilimili,Sutan forest (perfect for practicing) 2. Jhargram belpahari 3. Ajodhya hill 4. Murguma Dam via Ajodhya 5. Mamudi (you'll be confident enough after this trip). Ai sob kota road trip ami dekhiyechi amar channel e...etuku bilte pari je kono new driver er subidha hobe.. Ebar next asi north bengal e. 1. Jhalong side (jhalong, bindu, paren, suntalekhola and more) 2. If you want to take risk on higher altitude, go for Lava, lolegaon, rishop, kolakham then. National highway and road is extremely high. Amar last video ta dekhte paren, okhne ami rastar idea ta diyechi. 3. You can try kurseong, darjeeling. Darjeeling er video ta akhono amar post kora hoyni..okhneo ami puro last obdhi road condition dekhiyechi.. Any new driver can start hill driving in this way. And, few tips we should follow: 1. Keep your brain calm at any situation. 2. Never overtake. 3. Hill driving at night should be avoided. 4. Honking at every curve. 5. Keep your car slow and in your control when you are going down the hill. 6. While going down the hill at narrow area, always give first priority who are coming up the hill. 7. Last but not the least, after getting confidence,we should not be over smart, over confident. Cheers,Anupam..
@Anupam: Since you are driving an automatic, switch to manual mode if possible when going downhill. Do not ride the brake. The rule of thumb is to use the same gear for going downhill as the one you used for going uphill.
@travelholictanmoy Beautiful and informative video. How does Punch AMT perform while negotiating steep slopes and turns? There are not many videos that cover Punch AMT 's capability on hills. I think you can consider making a video on this topic. Thanks!
Overall tata punch's performance is quite good. I have not felt any serious problem so far. Slightly lag issue exist.. otherwise, it's quite perfect. Yes the idea is really awesome. I must think of it. Many thanks🙏
@@travelholictanmoy Thanks a lot brother. The information will be very helpful to me. To get more reach you can also include keywords like "Tata Punch AMT" or "Tata Punch Performance on Hills".
