Yup! I make sure my hairdresser sprays the hell out of my hair with the WOW before blowdrying. Cuz I'm one of them folks that gets crazy humidity in the scalp, especially.
It's actually best NOT to wrap your hair at night. You're supposed to pin Curl it. Wrapping removes volume and causes tension on the scalp. I have been doing the simple pin curl every night wrapped down and satin bonnet, and my hair curls into the waves I like, and it has body.
This is how I maintain my silk press also. I use the net and put a bonet over it. This allows my hair to still have body and not look flat and weighed down as with the regular wrap method. I’m on week 6.lol
Yes, I get breakage in my crown area. I typically have my hair split down the middle and in two braids, and noticed a lot of breakage in that parted section. Idk what to do about it 😩
This is EXACTLY THE VIDEO I WAS LOOKING FOR. you hit the nail on the head when you stated to not put oil on your scalp. I don’t know how to maintain a healthy scalp during a silk press & thought I needed to use oil. 0_0. MISTAKE! Question. Do you do a silk press every two weeks then?
I've tried using that doobie wrap, and it does work perfectly, but that thing gives me a major headache around my edges. I've tried stretching it out hoping that it will help but it hasn't, and the deep dents that it leaves on my forehead... Ughh😩
