Thanks everyone for making sure we saw this!!! LOVE this what a dope cover - I'm soooo jealos of yall who get to see them!!! Check my out on patreon: www.patreon.com/beldvlmnt
This is what culture (appreciating) really does i’m not Americans i don’t know the old artists so when my favorite artist Bruno does a tribute and get the chance to explore more of real old music and makes me appreciate these old artists
Anderson is better than, I’d say, 60-70% of industry drummers. On top of his church background he used to jam with turntablists/DJs, which of course requires perfect BPM. That automatically makes him top notch with session work. But he doesn’t slack in his live performances either!
I think it’s almost more impressive live because he often sings on top of his drumming! In his solo stuff at least from what I’ve seen. Dudes brain must fire in ways that mine will never know 😂😂
CONFUNKSHUN loves TRAIN *(triangle 🔺️ 😍 ) This is my early teenage years SOUL SONIC melodicly meaningfully music 🎶 REAL "RADIO RAHEEM" 📻 🎶 BOOM BOX era of FUNK and SOUL ✌🏽
Great cover of Con Funk Shun’s 1982 song. It is a fantastic song and one of Silk Sonic’s favorites. They said that they played it in the studio all the time.
Its ALWAYS been a great song! Listen to the original. Confunction has some great music. This is old soul music that no one pays attention too. I love that Bruno Mars keeps this type of soul going.
I wanna cuss them out lol like the gifts they were given they utilize so beautifully, I’m so grateful. But how dare they lol the harmonies, the instruments, the ad libs. They’re unstoppable.
Anderson Paak is a feature on Mary J. Blige's new album, it's great. Seeing him play drums in the Super Bowl was fantastic with his very infectious big smile, love him.
So Sexy! "I need you to please believe, please believe I Love you Baby!" Sing Bruno! "I really wanna to see you ,too. I bet you do, bet you do, bet you do" Sing Anderson! Thanks for the reaction. When they played this on their Evening with Silk Sonic Radio and harmonized the first verse I thought that was the last I would hear it. Go Silk Sonic!
Love what they capture on the vocals top notes crisp and warm but capturing the soft exhales and subtle breath sounds, that's where the goosebumps are and the layers of harmonies increasing through the chorus, subtle. Pulling instruments forward then laying them back in the mix so you never miss or lose anything. What a team. Would love to be in the studio to watch the process and see what gear they really are using.
I was hoping you guys would react to this...great reaction as always ❤️ this was such a great surprise from them on Vday ❤️ what a sexy duo (and there was no video 🤣 imagine if there was 😱) thanks guys 🙏🙏
One of my favorite songs of all time so I'm iffy on this cover, because I'm protective of classics I grew up with and Michael Cooper's vocals are legendary. However, when I first heard After Last Night, I could tell it was influenced by Love's Train.
@@Beldvlmnt oh you know it!!! hearing that beat even someone like me who has no rhythm can jam the way my folks use too and understand where they're coming from. They did the original justice
Bruno and Anderson so get it right. Love this track and the exposure to a new generation of their inspiration. Con Funk Shunlive video was great and it looks like they were a similar age when they recorded it, that's cute right.
This song is perfect for them. You know what they're talking about (& on Valentine's Day, they're hilarious) Anderson came with it on the lead vocal. Thats no small feat. compared to Michael Cooper on the original. It has that old school sound & Bruno's production did the damn thing!!!
So glad you reacted to this (and your reactions are always interesting). These guys are so damn smooth. Forget Valentine's - I will have this on repeat for days!
What would be cool if there was some kind of zoom live or something where Bruno & Andy could field music & tech geek questions, or even challenges like guessing what kind of mics, recording techniques & instruments their using, stuff like that. Don’t know how much fun it would be for them though 😂. Who knows if cats are secretive about that kinda stuff, to guard their sound. Well, cool reaction as usual. 👍
Thanks, I love you (2) reactions and the education on the technical craft with mics that make the voices and instruments sound in a perfect way and never lose the essence of the music. I would love to be in the studio to see it happen
Another silky smooth number from Silk Sonic. Hope you’ll check out .Paak cover of Old Town Road and his newest tracks with Mary J Blige and another w Rick Ross. I know you prefer the live stuff but excellent music 🎶
Hi I just subscribed to your channel and thanks for playing this song... I think they did a great job,I just love how he brings back the oldies..since today’s music kinda sucks 🤷♀️
On this reaction, you two talked wayyyyy too much. You fell in love with your own commentary. Confunkshun has always been one of my favorite groups. SS paid proper homage, but if I'm being a 100...the original is better. Confunkshun has some brilliantly beautiful songs. You should do reactions to some of their top hits. You won't be disappointed.
I’m afraid that if I were to hit that note and lyric at 11:48, I’d be the equivalent of a Nick Cannon baby-making machine in the San Fernando Valley 👶🏼👶🏼👶🏼
Hahahahahaj this is my favorite comparison ever 😂😂 but i agree, I hit the one in 'smoking out the window' but it's a little different than this full tilt top chest note
