Well here's Silver Bullet's full video version of '20 Seconds to Comply' which reached the U.K. charts at the end of November '89, then became a minor hit in January '90. No copyright intended.
Classic track. I remember being in a small club in Milton Keynes in 89 & Silver Bullet was there to perform live. When he arrived he just came in on his own, walked to the bar & was standing there just drinking coca cola. Everybody was doing New Jack Swing dancing on the dance floor, nobody recognized him until he hit the mic & dropped 20 Seconds to Comply. He sounded great live real raw hip hop no silly gimmicks, just a cool guy. He was on the promotion trail for the single before it hit the charts. Great times in UK hiphop.
Lil late ..but yeh..I met him in Aylesbury back in 87..he came to a party at Aylesbury college. He hails from Wycombe..or did back then. nice bloke, later when he left..he looked at me and nodded as if to say nice to meet ya man. Like you said..the good ole days :)
When I was 18, I was at an all girls grammar school in rural Wiltshire. We were all indie kids. A girl called Jade from Greenwich joined us in the sixth form, and she was a lot more street than us. We were playing REM and The Cure in the common room, and Jade walked in and put this on the turntable. BAM!
this generation in 24 never partied like us old school in 80s n ninteys in our fiftys now im still rocking these tunes nuff respect mc lite nwa to name a few
Classic!! I was 19 when this badboy was banging out my distorted speakers in my susuki jeep! This guy actually came from my home town of Aylesbury, Bucks, The video for his other single "Bring forth the gillotine" was filmed up Wendover woods as i remember.
I'm an 'Hellsbury' original. Moved away like lots of people do. I recognise a couple of peeps in the video. Hard to believe this much time has passed ☹️
+Eddie Browne I grew up near Aylesbury in the 90s, and the fact that anything had ever happened there would have been unbelievable to me... despite many musical happenings in the 70s and 80s...
@@paulanthony5274 Hi, i do remember them, i watched some footage of them many years ago on Pete Watermans tv show, it was based at nightclubs around the country, it was very good.
this was the soundtrack of my teens listening to hip hop on both sides of the Atlantic, killer classic that’s aged well and even now sounds light years ahead.
Old skool tunes are the best, I remember being shouted at from my parents downstairs to ‘turn that shit off!’ My response, replay and turn the volume up 🤣
i loved this cd!!!! like the best ever and searched so hard for it to get a hold of it... i still have it.. love that fast hardcore ruff shit from the uk back those days!!!
