After a few months of use I find the same thing happens to me also. When I will have some time I will open it up and see if there is something I can clean inside it or something.
Brilliant video - fast-forwards through the boring (but relevant bits), and just gets to the point - I didn't even bother with the manual, this "showed" me what I wanted to know. Thank you!
I used mine once it worked. Now it won't vacuum. I used the attachment to vacuum some ziploc baggies that were vacuum bags but the unit doesn't work to vacuum and heat seal.
Fantastic! Thanks buddy. Just bought one of these and thought....mmmmh, there must be something on RU-vid about this.....and there was. Very helpful. Thanks.
The included adapters are for this type of containers amzn.to/3pEccXB I will definitely buy some of those and make another video using those adapters from the SilverCrest vacuum sealer.
I've used the cheap bags from Lidl and they work exactly like the more expensive ones from Food Saver. I don't see any difference lately. Maybe Lidl started to make better quality bags.
Just purchased this machine. Works fine on dry food but on wet food the vacuum does not work very well. All settings tried and manual read. Anyone in the same situation? Thank you.
@@DailyCoolGadgets , thank you for your answer. The actual product was a tiny piece of vegetable ( only for checking the "wet setting") and still didn't work 😕
Thank you so much! I couldn’t figure out why the vacuum was not vacuuming and in the manual it didn’t warn you to do the sealing of one end at first. Thank you so much for clarifying!
Vacuuming does not work properly for me. I noticed it works a bit if you make sure there is food towards the opening of the bag. So the bag opening does not shut completely (trapping the air inside). However, it still does a poor job of vacuuming.
@DailyCoolGadgets if he's talking about the black part in the machine then don't listen to him. You need that black Styrofoam to complete a vaccum seal. If you loose it, it might as well be a glorified bag sealer.
I never did that, but technically if you cut them and then seal them in a different/lower spot, I don't see why not. The bag will get smaller and smaller after each reuse.
@@DailyCoolGadgets thank you, I Actually did call a shop today asking that question (on the non zipper) he told me they can be reused up until 15 times .. and yes, cut the bag a bit bigger and then you can cut of the sealed line and seal it again .. then it makes sence because these bags are not cheap 😉
You can and are supposed to wash your hands you know? There's no need to wear gloves when you have clean hands. Do you wear gloves at home? That's pretty odd.
@@DailyCoolGadgets you do if you don't want to catch a nasty stomach bug or at least wash your hands in warm water & soap - handling raw meat even with gloves on then touching appliances etc is a massive no-no, you may get away with this with beef, lamb & some fish, but not Pork or Chicken. hopefully no one else will copy you doing this - basic food hygiene.
@@BasedPrinceFit Lidl europe. But please keep in mind, Lidl changes products each week. So, you can find this vacuum sealer one week and then the next week they retract all of them from the shelves and place other products. You need to check out their offer and go into their stores when they have the specific products you are looking for.
I have this model however when I vacuum meat like chicken breasts or steak, the bottom of the bag furthest from the unit still has air pockets. The sensor picks up that the top of the bag doesn't have air and starts to seal the bag. I've tried pushing on the bottom of the bag whilst vacuuming but the auto seal kicks. It's like the vacuum isn't strong enough.
When you buy vacuum sealed bacon from the store it goes in the fridge.. Vacuum seal so you can freeze it and the quality is better then in a regular bag.
Thank you for this video! I’ve had this sitting for years and finally used it successfully to sous vide some ribeye steaks. Who wants to read the manual? Your video to the rescue! Now I regret not using it years ago.
