Hey friends! Have you been to Silver Glen Springs, yet? There are several other springs located in Ocala National Forest. Which spring would you like us to cover next?

I'm surprised that the park allowed that many boats in the spring.

What a beautiful kayak ride. Lake George was so big. That tiny gator so cute 😅 Lots of history also.

Lol….the gator wouldn’t bother you unless you bother it first! ☺️ The sand boils we’re really fascinating! It was hard to not stand there and just watch them all day. So cool!

I used to go here as a kid. There was a place off the sand boil trail where you could walk through that part of the river and go "inside" the sand boils. Not sure if that's still allowed or not.

Gators??? Isn't that dangerous? are they where you swim too?
@ChrissaTravels
@ChrissaTravels 4 месяца назад
We’ve never seen any in a swimming area, but that doesn’t mean you’ll never see them there. Typically, they’ll close down the swimming area if there is a gator in the water, though. As long as you don’t go swim right up to them and keep your distance they leave you alone or swim away.

Do you have to rent a kayak to get to the swimming area?
@ChrissaTravels
@ChrissaTravels 7 месяцев назад
Nope! No kayak rental needed. You can just walk from your car to the swimming area.

It looks lovely but isn’t the idea to wear the life jacket in the kayak?
@ChrissaTravels
@ChrissaTravels Год назад
Lol…they are required to give them to you, but you’re not required the wear them. The water was only waist deep for most of the run, so we didn’t feel they were necessary. Plus, the portions of the lake we were in, the water wouldn’t have even hit our knees! ☺️
@addieandkaysenfamilyadvent1418
Are there no gators in the swimming area, springs area? Looked beautiful but not sure if I would swim. I would show respect to any gator. 😂
@ChrissaTravels
@ChrissaTravels Год назад
No, they were down closer to lake George. I don’t think gators like it in the swimming area because there are too many people. You may see one in the morning, but they tend to leave once people start showing up.
