You are correct but for some reason that is how some people classify it. I have never seen on that large. I purchased a cutting and that thing is still small. It does hang in there though.

You're correct. I de-potted another plant, and the roots weren't taking up the pot. I rather the plant be bigger than the pot. I wanted a lush plant, but I guess I have to go in stages... Plants are my Therapy...your so sweet and wayyy to busy to worry about my plant woes. It might be the overwatering and I may have purchased some sick plants. It’s hard to tell but I do believe they cut off all the yellow and dying leaves n the store, so I had no idea when I purchased it. And it just continued to go down hill. Thanks again.

When I first found the Silver Satin, I thought it was going to be as fragile as the Marble Queen, but it seems to be more hardy than the Golden Pothos. I don't know why roots form fast/slow, I think it may have something to do with the season or if the plant is normally growing fast. I do notice a change in growth during different parts of the year. Has just realize that Scindapsus Pictus native in Southeast Asia, and I'm living in Lombok, Indonesia. I was struggled with my Scindapsus, but now I know, in Indonesia, they live and so happy in shade (low to medium) area, not bright indirect light. That's why when I placed in bright area, the leaves are always curling and wrinkled, looks a like their thirsty, but 1-2 days after watering, the leaves turn yellow as sign as overwatered.

Hello Erin, I thought of throwing away the stinky soil, but I am trying to save money. I figured the microflora would equalize after a few days, but it was taking a chance. My pothos are doing well. I have my satin pothos hanging under a tree in my garden to get more bright indirect light and a little wind. My "mother golden pothos" (Mother of all my pothos) is suffering: It recently got very hot and humid in Hawaii, so I put a fan in the window. I liked how it blew on my " mother golden pothos" as I laid in bed. The gentle movement of the plants and breeze of the fan was nice, but in three weeks, the plant developed brown edges and was droopy, so I currently have it recovering under the same tree. Thank goodness these plants are tough. Take care, my friend Gerald:)

@@DrACCook True. I recently bought a rooted cutting of scindapsus pictus for 3 dollars (convertedfrom Philippine pesos which is 150 pesos) that has 3 leaves, so i cut the two out of the same stem and i put it in water. I hope my propagation will be successful.
