The Silver Surfer is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character also appears in a number of movies, television, and video game adaptations. The character was created by Jack Kirby and first appeared in the comic book Fantastic Four #48, published in 1966.
The Silver Surfer is a humanoid alien with metallic skin who can travel through space with the aid of his surfboard-like craft. Originally a young astronomer named Norrin Radd on the planet Zenn-La, he saved his homeworld from the planet devourer, Galactus, by serving as his herald. Imbued in return with some portion of Galactus' Power Cosmic, Radd acquired vast power, a new body and a surfboard-like craft on which he could travel faster than light. Now known as the Silver Surfer, Radd roamed the cosmos searching for planets for Galactus to consume. When his travels took him to Earth, he met the Fantastic Four, who helped him rediscover his nobility of spirit. Betraying Galactus, the Surfer saved Earth but was exiled there as punishment.
In 2011, IGN ranked Silver Surfer 41st in its "Top 100 Comic Heroes" list. He was portrayed by Doug Jones and voiced by Laurence Fishburne in the 2007 film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Being a long time reader of MCU comics, 2 things i didn't like about the screen version of THANOS QUEST , they didn't include SILVER SURFER or THE X-MEN. To take it further, i also didn't like thst they didn't include the SPACE GODS : CELESTRIALS, THE WATCHER, THE INBETWEENER, MASTER ORDER & LORD CAOS, LOVE & HATE AND ETERNITY. These characters are very esoteric and mysterious, and have lots of complexity to them.

Would be nice if Hollywood took the Silver Surfer character much more seriously. The Godzilla movie deserves an Oscar despite working with only a $15million budget. Will the directors of a new Silver Surfer movie spend hundreds of millions of dollars a not even be nominated for an Oscar?🤷🏼🤔🙄

WE NEED A "MR. FIX-IT" MOVIE! The Grey Hulk, at night, in a suit! It fits perfectly into the blip years. When attempting to fix his arm, Banner unknowingly creates the Grey Hulk. He thinks he heals and cures himself. Except, at night, he turns into JOE FIX-IT. Joe leaves Banner cryptic messages on the mirror. Have him fight The Leader, (to close the loop) while having to deal with Joe. To win, he must meld Banner, Green Hulk and Grey Hulk into the Hulk he is now. It writes itself! GIVE US "MR. FIX-IT!" Pass it on, please and thank you!

I certainly hope that more thought and "Give-a-Crap" goes into this F4 reboot. That last one was, frankly, an abortion. It felt thrown together, with a lot of shrugging and "Yeah, yeah, good enough. Just do that, I guess." This may be partly fueled by my bias of Jessica Alba as Sue Storm. Somebody else in that role? You'll have to convince me. I wholeheartedly wish them luck.

I totally agree that we should no longer care about the gender or race of a hero but rather if the actor and writer are the best fit for the role but I am against calling something good just because it's headed by a woman or person of color.

Thats the whole point..."good" is encompassed by look and feel as well. Not just acting talent. Can have all the talent in the world and not fit the part. No woman is a silver surfer. Absolutely can not even be rewritten tk be believeable. HE has a whole backstory that would dissappear and he character would make no sense.

Soooooooo Norin Radd is a knee-grow? I hear WHOOPIE will be tackling the role of “Dutch” in the Predator remake. Rosie O’Donnell will be paying homage to Carl Weathers when she takes on his role. I cant wait to see the “the handshake” amped up by these lesbian thespians.
