Not for ginjer, garlic etc.. Apart the blades the inside is plastic, does not seperate in order to wash it, low power. Would recommend at least 25 euro to buy a quality one.
It's OK to get started in home for coffe making... Like filter coffe or French press.... Not ideal for espresso though... For a good espresso you NEED A GOOD GRINDER or work your ass of to get fine grinded espresso powder

Only buy for coffee. I've bought 2 and both died after a few uses. Wasn't grinding coffee. Was grinding spices. First timer I over filled and ran it too long. Second time I was much more careful, wasn't even grinding anything hard, not too full, tried short pulses, waited for it to cool down, tried again and poof. Very fragile machine. Can only be used for very short periods of time it seems, even if you're grinding lots of little light things. It heats up and poof. Pathetic. Better to get something with more power. Silvercrest is a pretty poor brand. Bought a mobile air-conditioner that I took back straight away. Sounded like a rattling fridge. Made in China with a western looking name slapped on.
