I wrote something and cant find it so Ill try again. You just made a beautiful pendant. I ordered some stamps waiting for them to get here. But I might try something like yours. Thanks a lot. Maureen Chandler
Wow... that is beautiful! The mirror shine is amazing and the way the stone snapped into place was PERFECT! 👍 I do a little bit of wire wrapping and create round wire-wrap bezels to set CZ's in pendants and there's no better sound than hearing it "snap!" on the first try. 😊 I'd love to have tools and a safe little work space to practice what I've been learning from video tutorials such as yours. You do fabulous work! Thanks for sharing your valuable skills! Cheers! 🙂
Great design. I love it. Little tip that I use for measuring around bezel. I use sticky tape and it doesn't slip around the stone. Overlap and mark with a pen then cut on the line. Perfect....
Hi, I enjoyed this video. Thank you for creating and sharing it. You make it look so easy Just wondering why you put the piece in water while it's still just red?
I wonder if you might do a tips and tricks video on how to heat a big sterling silver base without melting the bale. I seem to always melt the bale. I also seem to end up with a chunck of solder that will not melt. ugh. Any advice is appreciated. 😊
Heat controll is what any Jeweller will need to develop .. When I was a beginner .. the teachers would give us projects that would combine a very large object to be soldered to a small object.. and it takes time to get a feel for how much you can heat an object befor it melts or is the solder does something undesireable .. getting your flame hot enough is one issue .. and learning how to move your flame out of the way quickly befor you melt the items .. as well as the larger item needs more heat and the smaller item need way less heat. and how to balance between heating the 2 at the same time.. I will persist in putting another video up about soldering . But my new studio is not completly set up at the moment . . I have recently moved and will need a bit of time . Thanks for watching :)
Fantastic work to see Turquoise my favorite! So could you please add more brightness in your videos? Then everything would be much clearer! Actually i don't wanna use my device settings brightness all time!😁😁😁
Could you please tell us where you got the chart when you were finding where to place the bezel? It looks like a great tool to use. Thank you for sharing your work and technique. I especially appreciate the template of your work that you made. It helps in the design an making process.
Hi Deborah .... The bezel wire that I am using has a step in it... which becomes the seat for the bottom of the stone ..... You can use a few ways of dealimng with the void beetween the base of the stone to the top of the dome...... thr Navajo indians use / or used sawdust .... some people use epoxy resin / setters cement (some think this is a controversial approach). Keep on learning and keep asking Questions ... :)
Hi Amy Lee ... one of those things a Jeweller learns along the way is how to make simple tools ... learn how to anneal Steel .... then learn how to make tool hardened / tempered :)
