Hi Chad! Thanks for all of your very useful tutorials that you’ve been so very kind to share. This is the first one that I haven’t actually watched on my tv and the first chance I’ve had to subscribe and like your channel! (I only just realized that one could do this on the tv too! I see u like to use the flat nose pliers for your bending,theres another type available that are flat on one side and curved on the other. Might be handy for bending!

@@chadssilversmithing it will be great for that like for me i forgot how easy annealing is i watched a video recently and the video stated you needed a kiln to anneal......😅 they probably sell kilns. Haha

Chad, would you please do a video on the saw and what size blades to do with what your making.
@chadssilversmithing
@chadssilversmithing 7 месяцев назад
Hello Marie:). I will eventually get around to that, specifically when I have a little more time clocked sawing things. For years I avoided sawing because I was terrible at it. A couple of years ago, I finally got a decent saw, and I started to like and use it more. As a general rule though I've been told that at least three teeth should be in contact with the edge if whatever you are cutting. Check around on RU-vid. One of the long established folks out there likely has a good video on sawing. Estona maybe?

Hi Chad do you have any tips on bending #3 triangle wire along the 90-deg side? Idea is to have a flat solder surface on the bottom with the long face on the outside
@chadssilversmithing
@chadssilversmithing Год назад
If I’m understanding your question, it’s probably easiest to do it in stages. Bend manually while keeping bottom against the bench, stop, correct any twist that has started to occur, anneal, and then repeat until you achieve the shape you’re shooting for. I hope I answered your question:)
@Tenorosa
@Tenorosa Год назад
Thats right. I tried that but the pliers slip off the top likely because its only able to grip one leg of the triangle :-(
@chadssilversmithing
@chadssilversmithing Год назад
@@Tenorosa How long is the piece?
@chadssilversmithing
@chadssilversmithing Год назад
@@Tenorosa You could use a padded c-clamp to secure one of the ends to the bench, and then use leverage to pull it into a curve.

Its just under 6” in length. #3 triangle sterling wire. The C clamp pushes the wrong side down but that got me thinking maybe i can carve a bit of a nylon jaw to hold the right position. Ill give it a shot

Hi Chad! Thank you for the tutorial. When you created the deer pendant did you use fine silver or sterling silver?
@chadssilversmithing

Hello Tammie. I always use Sterling with the exception of the bezel.
