This case is simple perfection. We use it for industrial PC, but it also can accommodate nice gaming components. Airflow is more than enough for all up to RTX3060Ti. What is special here, is front switch so u can easily remove and clean front filter (yes, real filter, not metal dot net), which IMHO should have every PC case. 2nd thing, this is probably the only case under 50€ on which 100kg male can sit without fear. There is few more nice features which video nicely show, but this 2 things you will not see on any other case in this class, and even on 80% of those that are much more expensive.
Who would have thought a simple high quality PC chassis is rather hard to find. I wish more manufacturers realised not everything needs tempered glass. That would be a start. I totally agree that the quality of the PS16 is unmatched in its price range. The similarly priced Antec VSK3000 Elite is one I have used a lot of but nowhere near as strong. I hate when they get damaged in transit. As it happens too easily. I wouldn't use one as a seat either. That is for sure. Silverstone have had some classic and usually underrated designs over the years. I remember using a PS08 around 2014 and being impressed with it.
I have not seen this case in person, but I like the aesthetics of this case with the hexagon patterned front mesh and beveled front side. It looks great with the optical drive bay. Granted I grew up seeing 'old-fashioned' cases with a built in optical drive bay or two.
Nice chassis. Still good in late 2023. Just did a simple build/upgrade. Using this with Ryzen 5600G, 16gb DDR4, 1 hard drive, optical drive etc.. Compact size is good and quality is great for the cost. About 50 bucks in Aussie dollars.
Would this work well in a sleeper gaming/streaming build? I’m liquid cooling my cpu so airflow won’t be a problem, I’m also using a 2070 and a 2700x. Thank you!
As a budget case, this should fit all those components. RTX 2070 length should be under 300mm and as long as your liquid cooler will fit you will have a nice little case :)
Thanks for this overview video. I'm quite bored of my current tower's odd issues but Micro cases in the past seemed rather not well designed for my taste. This case is about 95% perfect for my general uses. about $105 in Canadian moneys though.
A side intake vent would have been nice. Especially with top down cooler. Thinking usual stock coolers from AMD or Intel. If I had any concerns about heat for sure I would add just switch to almost any tower cooler.
