OMG! thanks TOM for the memories. I have driven all those style trucks except for the Mack. I used to be a truck driving instructor in so California I cut my teeth on a 1965 White freightliner with a 6 and a 4 twin stick. Boy the stories I could tell my students.
Excellent video, what a great way to start the week! That was an amazing convoy you had going. I loved that Osborne '73 White Freightliner but didn't catch much of the interview over that awesome Detroit!
Now that's a really good video. I've been a truck mechanic for 50 years & three countries & seen a lot of changes. Today I was in Cokeville Wyoming working on an automatic trans problem on a Cascadia, I'm still a road service mechanic.
My 71 White Freightliner has a 350 small cam Cummins and RTO-9513 with 4:44 rears. I need to try turning the engine over to see if it's salvageable. I was told it was stuck when I bought it in 2004. It's a straight truck day cab. The flatbed was gone when I bought it. Plan to move the rears further back for long wheelbase tractor. 28.5 inch long aluminum frame.
