Snowboarded there last March....love that place! Conditions looked quite different this year.... still looked hella fun though. Glad you had a good time. Jump on the heli sometime....great experience.
Such a sick day. So glad I found your channel. I’m new on the West Slope and you’re providing constant motivation for me to dust off my twigs and explore. Hopefully I’ll see you out on the pow someday.
I love your flow and the fantastic lines you take. Diving in, stay in the fall line, freefall turns and skiing spines. Got to get you on some all mountain GS race skis. See you at Highlands.
Old school place.. I did buy a pair of Kastle.. I got a pair of 2022 demos 96 FX x 180.. It looks like I got a similiar style as you. My big thing was the length and having a straight tail. My DPS have the rocker/round tail and they are a little longer ski. I will bounce between the skis to find out what fits. My Stockli are great on groomers and hard pack but those straight tails get stuck in powder and crud. Haven't got to ski them in slush yet but I am sure they would get stuck in that too.
The stuff that had the firmer snow my Stockli could handle. I really interested to see how I do with the Kastle that I just got. I am also really interested in seeing how I will do with my DPS. MY Kastle are a lot lighter than both the other skis. I should be able to jump turn those without wearing myself out too fast. The DPS I might work on the surfing thing. That does look like a pretty cool hill. I broke my arm 3.14.2022 and there wasn't any slush. Do you know the actual date in March?
Took some heli runs there this season and though it had been dry, and conditions weren’t amazing, it was still awesome skiing. Unfortunately I lost all my GoPro footage and only had a couple phone videos.
