Silverwing V Belt Light Reset

Finally, the V-Belt light came on while riding home from work. I have wanted to do a video on this subject for some time, and here it is.
The V-Belt light is keyed to come on every 16000 mile, which is the belt replacement interval. So if you changed your belt all ready don't freak out.
I broke a kevlar belt when I first got the bike, and the light never came on.

Thanks for the tip. I had actually just changed the belt and the light came on while I was doing my post maintenance shakedown ride. It came on exactly at 16,000 miles. Fortunately, I saw your video and knew the light had nothing to do with my shade tree belt replacement AND how to turn it off. Thanks again.

thank you so much for this very helpful video.i have a 2016 silverwing and just today my v- matic light came on.i had my belt and rollers changed@15800mls and i just reset my one 10 minitues ago thanks to this video🖒 that's my silverwing belt n rollers for another enjoyable 16000mls.i love my silverwing

Thanks for watching, Paul. I think most of the Honda dealers are taking advantage of Silverwing owners when this light comes on. The reset should be a free service in favor of real service procedures later on. Oh well, that's why the video is out there. Again thanks for watching. Ride Safe

Good info. MY V-lite just came on at 24,000KM. I tried the reset and the light is out now. Have not ridden. I have a new belt. Will install on a cooler day. Thanks for your video.

I have long ago stopped worrying about the trolls. Some folks just like argue, but in this case, I suspect that it's service shops that are arguing against this simple fix that they charge $150 for.

Thanks for answering the above question. I am going to get myself one of them Kuryakyn Voltage Meters for my Silverwing. They look pretty cool. Can I ask where yours is wired to please? Is it wired to the mains power that is going to the 12v Auxilary Socket inside the glove compartment? Thanks.
