Thank you so much for sharing your gamma, threshold, and gains profile. Not sure if you mentioned it before but getting the licensed (instead of the free) version of SimHub is crucial as it enables 60Hz instead of 10Hz data which made a huge difference in the haptic feedback for me.
Thank you so much, you saved my sanity! The part about different profiles fixed all my issues. Could not work out why nothing much was happening. Great video, cheers.
Thanks for this, finally getting some useful feedback on the throttle and I can feel the when the wheels are about to lock when braking. Other profiles just didn’t kick in hard enough or early enough so weren’t very helpful to let me know when I’m at the limit. Amazing!
@@Ponti066 setting them up on Simhub is more tricky however it’s not even comparable to native support. The native support does nothing to make you faster, maybe slightly immersive but generally annoying. These settings give you so much more confidence in the car, I’m genuinely shocked how useful they are
Best video on RU-vid regarding fine-tuning is the magic haptics. I am glad I found it (I watched a lot)! I just got my motors yesterday (the NEO version for throttle and clutch and normal one for the break) and still fiddling around to get a feel, what the settings in Simhub do, your will video helped a lot, especially regarding the settings Gamma, treshold… Also your comments have some vital information. :) I am starting with F1 23 (playing with friends who are on console) to get a feel for wheel lock, traction loss settings before going into the deeps of AMS2, rFactor2, Dirt Rally,… As they say: please like and subscribe. Done! :)
Cheers for getting me started off. The frustration i'm having is I can't feel if i'm locking an inside wheel. It stops rumbling but I still have a wheel very much locked.
Yeah unfortunately iRacing doesn’t work with wheel lock, there’s no effect when the wheel is locked just when it’s beginning to lock. No settings will fix this, sorry I can’t help that
Ye good settings for the pedals it works great the issue for me is where all them gains and stuff are etc I think it controls all motors commonly so my haptic seat pad now doesn't do shift changes and curbs etc?
Hi, thanks for taking your time to do the videos, i have a question, the wheel lock is not supported by iracing at the moment, i dont know if you make it work somehow, the feelling i got from your tunning is a bit odd, my braking vibrator also stayed on with a little vibration, something like replicating the engine vibration of the car, i only have 2 filters on, i dont know if this is normal, do you have any of this issues? thanks
Yeah sounds like you have the setting on in iRacing for the Simagic haptics, turn that off in in iRacing. Wheel lock won’t be supported so the way it’s setup is to just give you reassurance when you’re hitting the right amount of brake pressure and stop you going straight in lot locking up
Hi! Thank you so much for configuring SimHub for my Haptic Pedal Reactor. Please tell me if you have a vibration motor triggered when braking by about 5-10%?? With such braking (5-10%), the wheel lock does not exactly occur, as soon as I press a force of more than 10%, the vibration stops. And then it already works when the wheels are really locked.
@@TerriblyRacing Yes of course, im the setting turned off in iRacing. Thanks for the help, I will deal with the SimHub settings, You gave me the necessary boost)))
You used the Porsche cup settings and didn’t understand the vibration, on which pedal, the accelerator? The Porsche cup car has crazy power and I need to know very early when the car is spinning. It’s a lot of preference so you might enjoy the settings but feel free to mess around with them
@@TerriblyRacing Sorry my english is not so good, i was trying to ask If you dont use Wheel slip, its a effect in simhub. About yours setting, i think ITS perfect and i Will try that asap
I had another hidden setting that was completely wrong but I couldn’t fix it, I reinstalled Simhub and they fixed my problem but had to reconfigure the settings to get the same feel
@@TerriblyRacing thank you so much!! I was a little concerned about leaving the gain levels in simhub at 100% but the way you setup the gradual increase is amazing in f4! only been on iracing for like a month and done like 7 fixed f4’s but just got my first podium with these settings!
Great video, what would you suggest if I’ve only got the one haptic reactor and drive formula cars. Which route should I go down (place on the reactor on throttle or brake). I’ll end up getting a second like you did haha but in the meantime what is most beneficial?
It really depends, if you drive with ABS and traction control then it’s probably go on the brake to feel the ABS effect. If you drive cars with no TC and lots of power is go on the throttle maybe so you can feel the soup in the car. You can always try both by just swapping it over 👍🏽
Hello, I asked in the previous video but no answer, so I try again, what is the Pulse Duration you set in the ABS ACTIVE Effect (it's used for the GT3/GT4 in iRacing)
I don’t know for sure. But there’s lots of modders that make 3D printed mounts, have a look online I’m sure someone can help, If not the p1000 or HE pedals are both great, just know the p1000 has the logic board and mounts already so only need the motors and the power supply!
Unfortunately I haven’t but you can try the default and the Porsche cup settings and have a mess around until you find something you like, those cars have TC and ABS right? Although you can’t use traction control in SimHub on iRacing because it doesn’t share the data. If you want to message me on discord we can try and figure out some settings for you
Unfortunately I havent raced in AMS 2 but I’d definitely make adjustments, I’m pretty sure AMS has a lot of slip angle so you might want to increase the threshold
main question is, can i have simagic software running too ? i got base and wheel from them too, wouldnt it mess up with settings for the haptic on simhub ?
@@TerriblyRacing Thanks, also I only use 1 motor on break pedal but it keeps giving me feedback on wheel slide too ? In simhub i only have abs and wheel lock setting enabled ... would it be an Iracing thing ? that it gives wheel slide telemetry in line with wheel lock ?
@@TerriblyRacing As a late add on to both of these comments, I believe it is important to turn off the effects of the motors in the Simagic SimPro Manager 2 software so that they can be fully controlled by SimHub without issues.
When I go to ShakeIt Motors and toggle on Simagic pedals, mine say “disconnected” instead of showing “connected” as yours do. Any ideas of what might be wrong?
@@andrewskordilis9033 I’m not 100% sure however if you want me latest settings I have them available to download on my discord. If you join the discord through the video description you’ll find the settings there. Discord may not be in this video but if you go to any of my live streams it will be in the description 👍🏽
i installed the motors on my pedals and they test ok in simhubbut once i get in the car in iracing the brake pedal has a slight vibration siting at idle and i Feel very little when the wheels lock and even when i test the motor while in the car i Feel little to nothing. the throttle works Fine in game and tests in game ok but the brake does not work, as soon as i leave the car it willl test ok again, any idea whats going on?
Great. I set up these shakers on my fanatec pedals, and now I can't get my wheel and pedals to connect to the simulator. I've disconnected the shakers, and now my sim is unusable. I have no idea what to do. 🤬
@TerriblyRacing I'm on a cyberpower pc. I'm on iracing, and the shakers are connected to my pc through the simagic control module. I got it all set up, and it worked for about a lap, and then I lost all connection from my fanatec dd1 wheel and pedals. I couldn't even exit the sim, had to shut down the pc to get out. I don't know if it's something in the simhub software, or some other tech issue. I've checked the connections several times. Any suggestions?
Any else found that since changes to porsche cup car this week, the haptic doesnt kick in as quickly when locking brakes? Do i need to adjust settings from the profile detailed here?
Yeah please feel free to adapt the profiles to all the other cars or updates. Sounds like you might want to reduce the threshold but have a play and see what suits you 👍🏽
@@patsollom so I’ve looked at settings there’s nothing you can change to make them kick in sooner, since things to check. Under motors output is your wheels lock setting and brake setting both at 100%, Also within effects profile, you can increase the input gain, maybe to 700, and also increase minimum force to .65. These should help a little, if you can get the full licence for SimHub that would also help 👍🏽
