I totally support this Director ... without the script, there is no origin for the movie ... the script in fact provides the main central theme, the plot, the important twists/progressive phases and the most important characters ... in Hollywood, there is credit given to the script writer e.g., SPEED movie was written by Graham Yost and directed by Jan De Bont .. same writer has also written the script for Broken Arrow, and another director has directed that movie ... Only in our Indian industry, it is the Director who gets all the credit no matter whom he has stolen the script from ... Many Directors rob other's scripts and take advantage ... These robbers should be hanged ... Our industry should learn to give credit for (story & script) separately and Direction separately ... Producers, please give credit and remuneration separately to script writers

After seeing this video only, I aware that A.J.Murugan is the director of Manmadhan movie. I thought everything is done by Simbu except music...OMG...

What ever this guy says are 100% true.I know Murugan during my school days.he came to our apartment to meet few assistant director frequently who were staying in our apartment.he used to narrate few scenes from the movie few years before the release of the movie and the design he talks about Ajith I have seen it's was very new at that time.i am sure Manmadhan was director Murugans story but as he mentioned during story discussion few scenes and small changes on story could be done that's practical....I lost contact to Murugan after movie released.but was happy about this movies success but unfortunately director didn't get any further movies which is sad ,hope Muruga gives come back soon.i hope his talent will be seen by us soon .

This is very old news. its came in all weekly magazine in those days. Even Kodambakkam knows Murugan is the director for Manmadhan.. Even producer said in interview that Murugan is the director. & Simbu developed scenes

Very unfair happened to this director, like this many directors get their script sold without their consent.. Very bad, he needs justice for this...

Most of the director's have bad opinion about this simbu guy, which means there is something negativity from his end as well, unless he corrects those, never will he shine fully! Truth prevails! They make use of all this small directors for their own name n fame....

Simple question .Why did he take so much of time to make this claim that the story was written by him. Very hard to say. On the flipside why did they choose a director who is not very famous. Conclusion- This could be his story, but since it was good, they would have compensated him with a sizable amount and also told him to direct the movie. And this entire movie must have happened with mutual consent.

In the opening film credits itself Simbhu would have put Iyakkunar Merpaarvai (Director's Oversight) T.R.Silambarasan . From the start Simbhu had hijacked the whole movie. Originally before adding Sindhu Tholani as the flashback character Vaishu, Simbhu had selected an actress Sanjeeda Sheikh who acted with Ravi Krishna in Ponniyin Selvan in 2005. She left halfway during the shooting due to the fact that her boyfriend died and she was unable to act. Simbhu is exactly like Telugu actor Pavan Kalyan, this guy like Simbhu would hijack the directors or force them to change the story or climax. In the climax of Khushi directed by S.J. Suryah, he forced SJ Suryah to include a scene where Pavan Kalyan and Bhumika would be interviewed by a TV channel for having 10 children and they are crazy in love. No wonder Simbhu was hated by the movie industry for a long time.
