hey man! your car is awesome!!! Ive owned a simca 1501 recently in Thailand, do you think this car had some angle issue about the front suspension system design (especially the spring set)?
+Amr El-Sangary It is a Toyota 1JZ-vvti engine. A 2.5 litre, 6 cylinder commonly found in large sporty Toyotas from the late 90s. Gauges are digital and I imagine that they came with the engine or wouldn't be too hard to install due to the fact that the engine would have already had a digital output for gauges.
You want those cars for their gorgeous looks, not their crappy original engines. Vmax of 145km/h and acceleration of 0-100km/h (60mph) of 16.8 seconds may have been in line with the aspirations of the European middle class 20 years after World War II but certainly is not with even just minimalist modern expectations. That this car is surely deserving of a six cylinder is another matter. It most probably would have gotten one originally by Simca ex factory, had it not been for the taxation in France at the time, which also suppressed the revival of the French luxury car industry post WWII, what killed brands such as Bugatti and Panhard. The car has been given the upgrade it should have been given by the manufacturer to begin with. NayAke has transformed this Simca from desirable to enviable. Thumbs up!
@@christianvanneuves9958These are just 2 different phylosopies : to preserve these cars in their whole features, including their charming "crappy" engines, or to transform them in "modern cars" with an obsolete look. I prefer the first option, however this is only a question of personal taste.
