This review dives into the Simgot EW200 in-ear monitors (IEMs), focusing on their strengths and weaknesses as a budget-friendly option.
Key points:
Solid build quality: Metal shells with good cable.
Comfortable design: Lightweight and small form factor.
Harman-inspired sound signature: U-shaped with emphasis on bass and treble.
Energetic sound: Pronounced upper mids and treble for a lively listening experience.
Good details and imaging: Picks up most details but struggles with sub-bass intricacies.
Decent soundstage: Holographic presentation, good for gaming.
Comparison with Zero: Red: EW200 shines in treble and soundstage, while Red offers better bass and a more natural midrange.
Overall:
The Simgot EW200 is a compelling choice for those seeking a fun and energetic sound under $50. While the bass response lacks deep sub-bass rumble, the clarity and detail in other frequencies make it enjoyable.
Target audience:
Budget-conscious audiophiles seeking a lively sound signature.
First-time IEM buyers looking for good value for money.

Been eyeing the EW200 for a while. Your daily usage breakdown will be helpful to see if it fits my listening style

It's a very good set for daily driving: Biggest takeaway for me were: 1. Fun tuning for that commute time or office breaks. 2. Light and comfortable 3. Durable to take daily beating 4. Most importantly very easy to drive, don't need much juice to power up. Hope it helps.

I think that's the price of ew200 should be. It increased slightly due to popularity

Hey nice review, I am confused between, EW200, Zero Blue and EA500LM, will mostly be using for FPS gaming and watching anime/movies. Please suggest IEM among these or any other around 5-7k.
@treblewellxtended
@treblewellxtended Месяц назад
Go with Zero Blue or Aria 2. I found Aria 2 to be best in this budget that you have. Since you will be using for movies and anime as well. Simgot is a little bright, good for gaming but in movies and anime actions you need some warmth where it is slightly brighter. EA500LM avoid, it has some imaging issues for gaming, Is will explain in my review in 3 4 days. Comparing all Simgots.

Great review I bought the EW200 and am very happy with it :) Do you have recommendations for a budget bass iem which still sounds great for a audiophile? (150 usd max)
@treblewellxtended
@treblewellxtended 3 дня назад
Under $150, if you want good Bass and overall good IEM, Truthear Nova and Supermix 4 are the best (W1 tips enhance bass a lot with them). And if you want solid BASS at the cost of some tonal balance, get 7Hz Legato for less than $100. Hope this helps.

Good detailed review. I've upgraded from CCA CRA & Chu 2, the EW200 is great detailed but sounds sibilant, congested importantly noisy and it somehow sounds not accurate, hollow with extentions at note ends. Is this the same with your experience on this & is this how it sounds ? or my set is a little different !
@treblewellxtended
@treblewellxtended 20 дней назад
Thank you. This seems weird. Because of you are treble sensitive it can get a bit sharp, but noise and hollow should not be the case. Try getting it checked, get the unit replaced if possible

I dont like the way the highs sound either, not sure what it is but its just not for me I guess, I prefer the chu 2 in the way the highs sound. Bass and mids seems nice though

@@bakermiaz Chu 2 Bass is warmer so it compensates that a bit. That’s why. I’m similar lines I did a review today editing that only. Good point

Hey bro. I tried hexa and felt like they were harsh or distorted to my ear. Tried ew200 and aria too which felt better. Any recommendations according to my above preferences? I was considering zero red but not sure compared to ew200. Please guide me.
@treblewellxtended
@treblewellxtended 2 месяца назад
Red is a better for you, if you find hexa that way, that means you like a bit warm sound. Additionally, Aria 2, tangzu Fudu and ie200 would be a good choice under 100. Have reviewed all. You can check. Avoid Simgot as well. They have bright upper mid

Hi I am a treble sensitive person ordered hexa and ea500 and got disappointed . does SIMGOT - EM6L is a good buy for me. If not any other IEm
@treblewellxtended
@treblewellxtended 2 месяца назад
If you don't like above mentioned avoid EM6L as well, it has bright uppermids. Try Aria 2 or Final Audio E they both are good. Especially Final E3000, 4000 and 5000 are dark IEMs, and they have very unique tuning for enjoyable experience. Since you are treble sensitive I think if you can get Tangzu Fudu Verse it's a great warm set. So it can be a good contender too. Hope it helps

Can I use the EW 200 with moondrop freedsp cable, will it reduce the sound quality when compared to the original cable because of the DAC ?
@treblewellxtended
@treblewellxtended 2 месяца назад
You can use free dsp cable. As default sound signature is pretty neutral. It will only change once you use PEQ in app

I am already using Moondrop Chu II DSP version. I am quite happy with the sound of iem. Does Simgot EW200 or Truthear Zero Red add in some sound quality enhancement ? Please Reply.
@treblewellxtended
@treblewellxtended 28 дней назад
I would say if you are happy with CHU II DSP. Stay with that only and save up for mid budget IEM, you will see drastic changes in technicalities and overall sound. However if in case you are planning $50 budget, Red is a direct upgrade to CHU 2, almost similarly tuned.

Which of the two is the best natural upgrade to Tangzu Wan'er?
@treblewellxtended
@treblewellxtended 3 месяца назад
Simgot EW200. Almost similar tuning. Little brighter in upper mid, and a little elevated bass. However, doesn't feel like when you are listening. Very good upgrade to Wan'er

@@treblewellxtended Understood. I asked because some people say the EW200 is too bright. I thought the Zero red would be the closest. Anyway, much appreciated.
@treblewellxtended
@treblewellxtended 3 месяца назад
Yes it is comparatively brighter, however, since Wan'er is also a little bright set, I'm assuming you're not treble sensitive. Additionally, red has a different tuning as compared to Wan'er. While Red is an amazing IEM, EW200 is closer to Wan'er in terms of tuning. (Natural upgrade) Go for Red if you want great IEM and a slightly different tuning. Hope this clears the doubt

For gaming, which one is better?? Like for valorant that has a lot of skills, gunshots, footsteps?
@treblewellxtended
@treblewellxtended 3 месяца назад
EW200 is better, Red struggles in imaging when there are lot of footsteps. Additionally, that extra energy in EW200 makes everything shots, footsteps etc sound crispy and vibrant. If you want upgrade EA500 is better upgrade than Red for gaming over EW200. Hope this helps.

In this budget, Truthear Zero Blue has the best Bass and overall performance. Sub Bass is amazing on them. Hades has over the top Bass, however it doesn't deliver on mids and treble So if you want bass and overall performance, go for truthear zero blue. Just Devil Bass: QLZ x HBB Hades.
