Good work - Appreciated.. Personally finding it a little forward in the upper mids. Gonna have a play with some tips this evening. Great looking IEM for the price.. A big fan of Simgot!!!
I’ve got trn t tips on mine and it sounds great. I must admit I didn’t do a whole lot of tip rolling, but it sounds better than it did with cp100 plus. Also fit deeper with the trn t.
Another great review from the TDM. I didn’t know simgot would send out a retune kit. What does a peon like me have to do to get one..? Currently running red nozzles with #500 filter and 1 medium density foam insert.
Thanks for the review. I almost bought the EA500 when it was on sale, but I was a little worried hearing that the upper end was a little hot for some and I prefer a more laid back or warmer treble. I would also prefer to stay under $50 so these caught my interest. I've heard mixed things about the upper end on these vs the EA500. Some say the EW200 is an easier listen with a more tamed upper end, and some say it's brighter. Do you think I would be happy with the EW200?
The ew200 is a warmer ea500, the top end is smoother. Then if you want even smoother get the em6l, that’s like an ew200 but smoothed out in a warm and lush way. The treble is also smoother, but the pinna gain is a bit forward for some people. That can be fixed with a filter.
my first IEM, can be a little bit too bright in certain games that use a lot of high frequency effects (like honkai star rail). I had no issues with my music (powermetal, rock eletronic, vocals, classical), I could hear details I couldn't with my asus cetra core II, soundstage is way better. the biggest issue is: Is hard to find a suitable upgrade. One of the best bang for buck. If you have issues with the treble you can try using Equalizer APO and try reducing some high frequencies (tutorial on how to install: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AFGUsrHn_LM.html)
Thanks for your reviews, I think they're fantastic. I just bought the chu 2 because of your review and I'm really enjoying it. How does the simgot EW 200 compare? Best wishes from Australia
I’d say ew200, but if you can get a black mesh pr2 that’s also a good move. I like the ew200 more, but if you never had a planar the pr2 would be pretty damn good for the price. You could also put some medium density foam in the nozzle of the new one and a 500tuning mesh on the nozzle if it’s too peaky.
I wasn't very impressed with the EW200, which surprised me. The treble seemed rough, and the sub-bass didn't seem to match the graph. I am thinking I might have gotten a bad unit, since my experience doesn't match with most of the reviewers.
