Today was one of those days when food and nature came together in a beautiful experience. I cooked a stew with veal, peppers, spring onions, eggplant, and a bit of marjoram. It felt like reviving a tradition that my family has cherished for generations. I decided to cook this delicious stew in a copper pan and then transferred everything to a clay pot, which I left by the fire to simmer for three hours. Every step of this process had its magic. After the third hour, I added potatoes along with the rest of the ingredients and left it all to cook together for another hour.
While the stew was simmering, I embarked on a new and exciting project: building a small cottage. I started by digging the foundations, working with joy and dedication. I was determined to create this little hideaway by myself, step by step, with my own hands. As I worked on the foundations, the surroundings reminded me of how connected we are to the earth, and how every stone, every scratch, and every shovel full of soil influences the final outcome.
