I'm a registered nurse and this definitely sounds like signs of depression. Depression has many faces so I hope his friends and family are looking out for him.

It is funny but as someone who also suffers from depression the first thing I noticed was the condition of his face and skin especially below his eyes. Depression isn't just mental it is also physical. The lack of sleep eating, going outside, getting vitamin D, all shows up on your body. There are times when just washing your face seems like a chore. I hope friends/family reach out to him and I also hope he seeks professional therapy. Sometimes just having a non biased source to vent frustrations and anxieties to helps a lot. I promote therapy even when you are seemingly healthy as well!

Please correct me if I am wrong and as this is the internet, I am sure someone will. However, it seems that their culture is uncomfortable with anything that they feel would shame or harm their image. In the US, we say "You need to save face". I have heard their culture takes this much further. If you are uncomfortable or embarrassed, you hide that with a straight face or smile. So it would make sense to me that if it was troubling, nervous laughter would play into that. While I was so sad to watch this video of someone who was suffering from depression (he did get treatment) I was also glad in a way because hopefully that is a small step to help someone else get help. It is hard for anyone to speak up and get help and I am glad that he did. I am a huge fan of his and wish him well. As I step off the soap box, the only thing I meant was certain cultures respond differently in ways our own may find offensive. However, it may not be their intent nor taken that way. For his sake, and all those suffering with mental health concerns I hope they all find kindness when they reach for help.

This episode was supposed to be fun and happy because it's his comeback after such a long time. But after I watched it, I felt sad for him. The moment he appeared with such weight loss, I couldn't help but tear up. I knew right then and there that he wasn't MIA just because of an album. I just wanted to run where he is and give him a hug. Although the hosts tried to make the mood light because after all, it's a variety show, Ssam D is in a serious situation. I hope Knetz and his fans give him a lot of love and support for this comeback to make him feel he is not alone. Ssam D fighting!!! 💕 힘내요~

Its heartbreaking to see people on the show laughing and making fun of his feelings, especially after he disclosed his problems on national tv. This is what i hate about the entertainment industry, especially Korean culture. They don't take depression or other health issues seriously. And then when an idol or a celebrity commits suicide, everyone acts shocked. Someone....anyone, please reach out to him and help him. I honestly want him to feel better, to eat more and be healthy. I love him so much.

Someone please reach him out😢 he urgently need supports. His heavy pressure from making his album has cause a lot of stress and that stress could be the result of his lack of apetite and sleep. That is a signs of depression. He need at least one person to support him. We can also support him on his social media. Please, stay strong 😢😢😢😢😢😢

I felt that way since my post graduate, I can't get a job, I do nothing, I detached myself from everyone even family. After two years my body kinda had a shut down. I got diagnosed with depression and mild dissociation. If he is struggling they shouldn't make light of it. I hope he got the help he needs to get out of that feelings.

I never knew about all of this before and now Simon tells us I kinda understand the hardship in the industry. I feel so worried with them, not only Simon but also all of the idols out there who produce their music alone. So much pressure & expectation when something you first do due to love become more of a job. I hope the companies will treat all of the artists well and the idols have people close to them to always support them.

looking back this videos.. i feel grateful now how much simon D had changes since i live alone and latest hometown flex.. he is more energetic, charismatic, swag, manly, and so many that words cant describe and the most important is he is more happy and healthy, confident, even thou he lose weight but he is so handsome... and im proud of him... he can jokes, laughing, teasing around with his mates.. i love it.i guess bcause he had someone to talk to, so the variety show did help him... tkumawo simon D...hope u will always be protect by God and kept healthy and happy as u are.. 😍😍😍

I hope that if simon d is thinking about suicide that he gets the help he needs or talk to people that are in the same spotlight as him like jay park,gray,loco or even his family because we can't keep losing idols and rappers etc from depression and suicide I hope he knows that he got fans and family that he can talk to about these problems and if he is tired to take a long needed break from the entertainment business and I hope he sees that he knows that people love his work and him a human being and I hope that all the stress he has can he go to someone who would understand what he is going through and to fight through it.

I'm not gonna assume everything but the things he said about losing appetite, not getting enough sleep and even losing interests in usual hobbies/even sex are similar symptoms to back when I was experiencing depression. I hope he asked for help especially if he starts having suicidal thoughts. I had been through one before and its never too late to ask for help when you especially need it.
