Wrong, it's up to the performer to sell the promo as convincing and intriguing. Anyone can read a script, but most of the scripts in WWE are very bad. Any time someone gets an opportunity to speak off-script, it gets a lot of attention.

And you can have compelling storytelling with a TV-PG rating or whatever Raw and Smackdown currently have. Smackdown has always be TV-PG and shows like Doctor Who, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, an Bob's Burgers are all TV-PG. The writing has little to do with the rating.

It’s okay he wrestles as Simon Grimm now. I know the guy who owns a promotion in New York who also wrestles at the local promotion near me. He was able to sign Simon. His wrestling is better now. Gimmick too.
I met a guy on the line to summerslam last year and some guy was telling a story about how he was in middle school with Enzo. Enzo made fun of him for being gay and the guy beat the shit out of him in English class 😂😂

You can tell why he was released. He's too honest. From all the stories I've read about WWE backstage shenaningans, there's a lot of politics, hazing and asskissing involved, and Simon looks like the type of guy who is nice, but doesn't shy back from speaking his mind out loud. I think people who kiss asses or aren't asskissers but mind their stuff and do their job while shutting their mouth do better in Vinnie Mac's company.

I have to say I believe Gotch 100%. He knows the business, is a real pro and a great worker. He'll be back in WWE at some point if he wants to be, perhaps repackaged. Enzo bullshitted his way in and was sloppy and unsafe...the kind of guy that could get someone else hurt besides himself. Watch matches from both guys and it's obvious Gotch is spot on with everything he says. Plus he's a good talker.
If he wants to return he likely could after a while. But I think it's a moot issue because I don't think he wants to go back. I wouldn't either after the stupid gimmick they stuck him with.

WWE gets behind Enzo in he cruiserweight division and what did he do? Continue to botch and never improved. The entire time he was under contract with WWE he had maybe 2-3 matches that were botch free.

@@tw475 There's a term for someone who refuses to learn. That term is, "stupid." Ignorance and stupidity are two completely different things. It would be fine if Enzo was just ignorant, as ignorance is when someone hasn't had the opportunity to learn yet. If Enzo, for some odd reason, wasn't able to go to any wrestling schools, his lack of in-ring talent would be somewhat dismissable. I still wouldn't understand why he'd be with the company, but I wouldn't hate him for it. However, Enzo had opportunities to learn. He was from New Jersey, and New Jersey has multiple wrestling schools throughout the area. You think he'd have gone to at least one of them, right? Wrong. Enzo was stupid because he chose not to learn, not that he wasn't able to learn.

And besides, even if Enzo could make money for the company and was possible to work with, that doesn't mean that we have to like that person. If someone has a shite personality, many are not gonna like that person. Jeremy Clarkson, Ellen DeGeneres, Ariana Grande, early Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, etc. are all people that can make money for their employers and are possible to work with. But because they all have notoriously bad personalities, many do not have a high opinion of them.
