12 games without a goal, hasn't been in good form for about 15 months, off-field troubles that may or may not resurface and is available on a free transfer in about 9 months' time. There's no way a Premier League side is going to be stupid enough to pay the 50 or 60 million pounds Brentford want for him!
Did anyone notice at 4:05 when Jim looked at the camera after Brentford manager said only criticise if you have solutions 😂😂😂 Jim's look was referring to Simon 😂😂😂
The main reason Toney is still at Brentford is The player Brentford signed to replace him is OUT FOR THE SEASON already..Also Toney wanted £250k a week from Spurs ,Arsenal and a couple of other clubs.
He's not a significant upgrade on Nketiah and would have to rotate with Jesus and Havertz. If he's the Arsenal fan he claims to be, he can join us for free next season
No offence, but he has the famous Lukaku first touch,is only good at holding the ball up,struggles to play in the box and a lot of his goals are penalties. All that before the betting scandal. In my mind,he is just another lukaku, great player for a top 8-10 team, but strictly to be be avoided if your team has the ball a lot and is mostly on the front foot.
Never mind Toney going to the Top clubs, I think Thomas Frank should be linked with them. Should certainly be getting an interview for the England job ahead of the other inexperienced or deadbeat managers being linked
Toney WILL be at Brentford! City won't buy him. Spurs just bought Solanke. Man Utd have Hoijland and that Dutch lad. Liverpool won't buy him. Arsenal won't buy him. Chelsea only buy kids. Villa have Watkins. Newcastle have Isak and Wilson back up. Which club will actually buy him?????
Attitude is a big thing here and I'd have thought someone as intelligent as Simon would have realised that spending money on a player who would be one bet away from a very long ban would be silly. Also, Toney is hardly the most press-aggressive player which is a requirement today. If Simon was still Palace owner would he drop 40-50m on a risk like this?
Just on a personality level listening to this guy he is an absolute credit to his club. He just sounds like a quality professional and likeable guy. Class act
I don't see what all the commotion is about with Toney. Going by the standards of the Premier League, he's a bang average player, in my opinion. I think Solanke is better.
We have already seen that interview. I didn't need to see it again about the same old boring question. Until someone bids it not a question or headline. Boring
Toney not good enough i dont think for United, we want best in class. I think we worry about other areas this transfer window then buy an elite striker next season.Think Toney could be trouble we dont need or want. Plus i think we will score lot of goals this season between rash, houjland, bruno amad garnacho. Maybe zirkzee too but i dont have high expectations for him ,hope im wrong tho
So where is your best in class , you don't have a centre forward as good as Tony , and it doesn't look likely your going to sign one , there's very few out there as good as Tony
Thomas Frank seems a class act on and off the pitch. Not sure if anyone saw that podcast with Lineker, Shearer & Richards during the euros where Frank & Moyes were getting absolutely sloshed in the background on wine, was hilarious.
I don't think he should be at a top six club look how he was indenial after the betting ban he didn't take responsibility and his mentality for a manager at a top club wouldn't want. He talks about going to a top six club like he is entitled how embarrassing if i was Brentford a fan i wouldn't want him after the way he has been talking. No way Big Ange would want a player like that
The unfortunate thing is players should be very careful before signing for the likes of Brentford and Brighton ..These clubs treat their players like slaves. Small club syndrome with these two specially is rife. Once you make a career mistake by signing for one, they will see you as a piece of meat. Toney a player achieved nothing in his career, almost 29, He is fortunate to be a traditional big no 9 in an era where strikers are rarely seen( Another stupid legacy introduced to world football by Guardiola while at Barca) Brentford valued him at something like £80 mil ..Now he is stuck in a Small club with an attitude.
BETTING SCANDAL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHY CLUBS ARE STAYING AWAY, THATS RIDICULOUS, HE HAS PLAYED FOR ENGLAND. HE IS A TREMENDOUS PLAYER,WILL ALWAYS SCORE GOALS, SOMEONE WILL TAKE HIM.
Toney is considered talented but egomaniacal nuclear waste. Toxic. And like with gambling - it seems his greed and hubris will ironically hinder his ability to even get to a big club, let alone earn really big money. A perfect example of someone openly unwilling to get out of his own way.
Simon Jordon knows nothing about football or boxing, although he might be able to tell people about the process of hiring and firing managers, everything else hes clueless about. Any club intrested in ivan toney would of at least made inquiries about him by now, but hes a little overrated, and his attitude is a bit dodgy. Most teams try and stay clear of players who openly criticize their own club.
we love this sport more than most but england fans are some of the dumbest haha why would brentford sell him now his replacement is injured january sure but not now like be for real they are folding to the scriptier league otherwise
IT is internally known in footballing circles as a bit of a tool, big time Charlie. Not my opinion but honestly I have it on good information he's not a particularly nice lad!
Don’t want him anywhere near Utd. Bad attitude, and difficult to deal with at times (apparently) If that’s the case, he’s the last person we need in the Utd dressing room. Lads like Sancho, Rashford and Maguire don’t need another bad apple in there to encourage their bad attitudes. Don’t need another protected British player with a bad attitude who the British media will turn a blind eye to We must get past this as a club 🔰
I think Toney has a bad attitude and is arrogant. On top of that the whole betting thing. Hes been very disrespectful to Brentford and I wouldn't take him at Arsenal as alot of the news suggests
