The media is the same everywhere. 6 corporations ultimately control the entire global mass media, and none of those are actually from or based in the UK, by the way.
UK nurses earn 33,000 GBP a year. The migrant workers earned 1 USD a week.. - working in extreme heat, in extremely dangerous conditions, and had to live in a box with 8 other men. They then had their passports taken from them so they couldn’t leave. One deserves Huge criticism the other isn’t even in the same conversation. But you already knew that.

He is using a his platform to voice issues that are needed. That's the only reason why the WEFs Sunak bot responded, because he doesn't want his corruption exposed and he knows Neville has influence. Just because he's working in Qatar, In his profession, doesn't mean that he can't call out inequity in Britain. He's a British citizen, so you can do something about inequity and corruption here. Even if he calls Qatari corruption out, he can't do anything about It, that's up to their own citizens. Regardless, even if somebody is being hypocritical, doesn't mean the issues they are talking about don't need to be addressed. If you'r a citizen in the UK right now, if you don't get this Tory party out ina the next election, there will be no services, or rights left, That you take for granted by the end of their next term. Gary Neville comparing Qatar immigrant workers to British workers is ludicrous, he is also a steaming hypocrite, taking the Qatari shilling (i.e. millions) with alacrity.
Why is it ludicrous? You're all hypocrites lol. Speak to actual migrant workers in Qatar and you'll hear a vastly different story than the one the British media is pushing. You have literal slavery going on in the Midlands with Eastern European and South Asian workers in sweatshops and brothels but noone bothers talking about them. Migrant workers are in Qatar because the quality of life there is far superior than they'll get anywhere else and they're able to make enough money to sustain families back home. The UK has far worse problems than Qatar does; supporting dictatorships around the world, funding wars, invading the world, domestic abuse in the UK is off the charts, teen pregnancies, broken families, alcoholism, drug abuse, ridiculous homelessness rates, child poverty, record number of people using food banks, etc. The moral high horse taken by the English is hilarious

I don't think this is right. He might come across that way from time to time but its only because he's confident that what he is saying is correct and he usually is
That left wing labour boy wouldn't dare go the show. He would torn apart on every level. Gary neveille needs to look at his own ethics with all his businesses and the blood money from Qatar
I beg to differ! Why are you so sure? Also, a debate in what? Too many talksport fans mistake being articulate for being smart, the two are not the same!
Exactly! Underrated comment. Simon Jordan will be happy to become a billionaire if he could so his rubbish bias is obvious and the way he described Corbin followers is offensive!
Oh come on. I bet it wasn't like he spoke about the uk government. Gary tried telling people only 3 migrant workers had died once he was on the Qatari payroll.
but if you are from the UK and you are working the UK you have a CHOICE what job you do. Qatar is taking advantage of other nations in regards to workers rights and pay from poorer nations - the UK and Qatar are not to be compared at any point. Its complete deflection from Gary Neville
As Simon Jordan said, GN is right to have an opinion and we have freedom of speech in this country for him to have one. But he's also pointed out that he's a hypocrite for having a platform to express an opinion on Qatari TV and not doing so and then doing so on British TV when it wasn't the time or the place for it, it was a football world Cup final. And Gary Nevilles views on politics to be honest, are to be taken with a pinch of salt.
We need Gary Neville and Simon Jordan to have a proper grown up debate. That would be absolute box office. Two big personalities with something to say.
@@niallireland2940 Neville started as a pundit for the 2011/12 season with Sky, over 10 years so you are saying that counts for nothing? He was active way before AFTV even started so that argument is completely nonsensical

simon shamelessly claimed that ten hag suits were too big and indicate its relevance to coaching credibility so that makes two wally between you and gary
Broadly agree with Simon’s take that it was an inappropriate venue for political views. But to call Neville a Trotskyite is a bs. Trotsky was a revolutionary communist. Speaking up for worker rights and pay doesn’t make you a commie

Great speech from Neville. Everything he said is correct. Workers rights are always under attack from tories. Establishment always want to keep politics out of things that embarrass them. He knows what he’s talking about. Politics is in sport as it doesn’t take place in a bubble. It takes place in the real world. If people don’t stand up for rights in uk. We will end up in the same place as Qatar. Simon doesn’t know what he’s on about
It appears SJ has an agenda against Neville calling him a Socialist and Corbynite. Neville has the courage to speak about political issues. Neville is a UK citizen living in the UK. He has every right to speak about issues in the UK. He clarified his position regarding the situation in Qatar. Yes, he doesn’t agree with everything that is happening there but at least he’s willing to answer and highlight these important questions and topics. Sunak has every right to be triggered considering the situation he and his peers have put the UK in. SJ should humble himself and not assume he’s won every debate and discussion on talk sport.
@@Kronthedon2333 when you get asked the question relating to issues in the UK or Qatar on a sports broadcast channel or show then he has the right to answer. That is all he did. Some people and politicians expect footballers, ex-players and pundits to speak on political issues for their own agenda. The whole narrative about Qatar was about politics and human rights and not about football. I'm no fan of Neville but as soon as he mentions politics and a human right to fair pay in an unequal society in the UK he gets told to stick to football. The absolute hypocrisy is mind blowing
@@supercriceto from what I gathered it wasn't really comparing it to Qatar but talking about pay as a whole and the unequal distribution of wealth in every country. this has nothing to do with free speech. This is about hijacking a world cup final football show to push your political opinions on the whole nation. he can say what he wants, but by pushing his views on the watching public, when thats not the type of programme people signed up to watch. they wanted to watch football
NOT ONE actual football fan, turns on the tv to watch a football show, and hopes to hear what the pundits think about politics and working conditions. They have their jobs because they played football, for no other reason. They aren't qualified or educated enough on the subject matter to be broadcasting it to a whole country of people who actually just tuned in to watch football. Gary Neville uses every opportunity he has to preach Labour to the country, and most of the time its on a football show.
