“ETH has been here longer.” Can’t be an excuse. Last season ETH got slated whenever United lost or had a poor run of form. United finished top 4 and won a (Mickey mouse) cup, but was still slated for the way United played.

I'm fed up of so called experts calling clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea as plastic or manufactured clubs. What exactly do these terms mean? Both clubs have history and before everyone starts shouting they haven't got a history of winning silverware, every club has its heyday... Leeds, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have had their periods of success, before them, you could include Preston, Burnley and Bolton. So both clubs have had money pumped into them, so what? Manchester United was owned by a millionaire in the 1950s... and was able to buy the best players without FFP. Other clubs didn't have a 'sugar daddy' during this period... would United be called a plastic club during that period?

As a Chelsea fan, I do think the amount of money we spent is absurd and we should be in the spotlight more often for how we have played since spending all that money. We lost to Middlesbrough 1-0 in the Carabao Cup and people are immediately saying we should sack Poch. I think that is crazy. There is still a second leg to be played at Stamford Bridge and fortune could change in that leg. Poch needs time to bring out the best in the young players. They are inexperienced yes but give time. It is definitely not going to be an overnight thing where we are suddenly winning trophies left right and centre. That was the Abramovich era and it wasn't sustainable. This is the Boehly era now and it is an entirely different philosophy. Give it 5-10 years and then we can reflect on whether Boehly's plan is a failure or a success. With regards Ten Hag, I do think it is unjustified how much he and Utd are in the spotlight. Back in the day, Utd were pure bred winners. But they are in a transition period and need time. No point in sacking Ten Hag because it will be a new manager with an entirely different philosophy and progress will be hindered as a result because they will inherit a squad that they didn't want in the first place. Glazers never helped Utd either so Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be a breath of fresh air I would imagine.

I question the comments 1) ‘we are under the radar…’ and 2) ‘we are a manufactured club…’ 1) Any real Chelsea fans at the end of SB and away game fans are going mad about Poch’s tactics and using players out of position. Many fans are toxic about Boehly and the project and many want Poch removed. (I don’t because he is the right coach for young players) 2) Manufactured? Anyone following our history should understand we are far from manufactured. Looking from 70’s 80’s 90’s with redevelopment of the stands, toxic Mears and Marler period, nearly bankrupt several times, Bates £1 buy, CPO fan buy, then mid 95 to 2003 PL improving positions and europe and domestic cup success shows we were not manufactured and struggled and fighter to get to that level in 2003. Yes Chelsea then got Roman as new owner. Yes he transformed our finances and success beyond a level we had not seen before BUT before that following Deloitte’s yearly reports shows Chelsea were Already ranked within the top 10 clubs in Europe AND in 97/98 we were 4th ranked in Europe because of our cup success. With Roman we then went through 20 years of unprecedented success and now we have more rich owners but is it manufactured that we went through the hell of sanctions and a period of destabilisation? Many of our fans for months thought we might be removed from the league!! Carefree all. 🔵

Poch deserves more criticism than he's getting but united and Chelsea are different situations. Chelsea literally signed a whole new squad and got rid of almost all their experience. United still have players like fernandes, casemiro, varane, rashford, sancho etc. And ten haag can't get a tune out of them or get them playing good football.

Are Liverpool manufactured? Their success was due to a rich benefactor in the 70/80s. They were spending huge sums at the time when they were a Div 2 side. All successful clubs have had wealthy benefactors for a period of time.

I think there's naturally more pressure on Utd, due to the size of the club, and of course, the fact they have not won anything significant for a long time (prem/ucl). Furthermore, I also think it's also fair to put across that Ten Hag had a relatively decent season last year, and this season he has taken two steps back again. Chelsea was already in a pickle when Poch arrived - Utd have gone from a decent place to, again, constant morale issues, and low performances on ths pitch.

This started about Chelsea, and within 2 minutes it's about man united. 8th in the league, out of Europe, complete circus off the pitch. Man city, granted have 115 charges, but they're a winning machine on the pitch. Jordan's right. Nobody cares. United and Liverpool are on every single day, even when they haven't played . Simon Jordan talking Mauricio Pochettino down as a manager over his CV etc, shows how little he really knows, what management is all about. I remember watching some games at the lane the 1st season when Poch arrived at Spurs from Southampton, it wasn't great, he had inherited a load of duff players off the back of Bales deal to Real Madrid, it took the best part of that season to off load & invest in new talent before he turned Spurs from a team in & around 10th to 12th & always underachieving, to a team over the next 4 seasons who were regular's in the top 4, nearly won the league but were pipped at the death by Leicester to a Champions league final. I call that success , it isn't always about what trophies you win!

As a Chelsea fan I can comfortably say United are a far bigger club than we are, it’s a fact so when they are in a mire of course more focus will be on them. We weren’t a relegation fighting team when Abramovich bought us, we had been hovering around top 4/6 in the years leading up to that and won a few FA Cups. Of course we wouldn’t have won 5 PLs and 4 European trophies without Abramovich so of course that success wasn’t natural. I for one have accepted that we have had our time at the top and for a good while we aren’t going to be challenging for the title. But let’s be honest neither will United and arsenal are bridesmaids. Keep Poch and let him nurture this young squad over a 2/3 year period.

My Take....and this is why I did'nt celebrate against Preston. Poch - why did you change the front line from when you played against Preston. 1). Why change the front line - No Jackson 2). Allow Broja to be your 9 3). This is a big game for Chelsea - you come and change the line up. 4) Enzo played good against Preston, not just because it was Preston but because he is playing with one DM - Caicedo. 5) You sit down, and not stand up not ushering the players to press the players. Look @ Guardiola - how often he stands up - urging the players on. 6) What was Palmer doing the night before the game, how can he miss that. Middlesborough were like a champions league side. Poch should have brought Palmer back as a number 10. 7) Thiago didnt get much work - it was easy for the defence but the attack was toothless, so what was your plan, switch players but not tactics? 8) Gallagher was too stiff. This transfer saga has affected his game for sure. Make him a sign contract and ensure his future is settled so he can focus on his game. 9) Poch underrated Middlesbrough so the next game, Chelsea will be ready. The fans will be ready. Now Chelsea has to kill Middlesbrough and stress themselves to do so. 2 goals without reply against Borough. 10) Worse performance of the season but we move. We will win and get the result we need. 11) Poch, keep doing what you are doing. You only have 18 months contract. Less now, my bro, based on your work @ Tottenham we have faith in you but it is waning and people are calling for your head.

"Manufactured club like Man City" The reason Abramovich bought Chelsea were they were already a Champions League team who had won multiple trophies in recent years, Abramovich just took them to the next level quicker. Man City were swinging between relegation and the championship when they first got investment and hadn't won anything in decades. There's a huge difference that everyone seems to forget.

In the 1998/99 Man City were in the equivalent of League One, Chelsea came 3rd in the Premier League that season. There's no comparison to where both clubs were at the point of takeover.

@_l0wkey_4 I think you're missing the point here. I'm talking about where both clubs were at the point of takeover, not a few trophies from both clubs from a different era. Pre Abramovich - Chelsea were already one of the most successful teams of the Premier League era, only really behind Man United and Arsenal. The investment took them to the next level. Man City had achieved absolutely nothing in the Premier League era and spent a good chunk of it, not even in the Premier League. The investment Man City received completely transformed the club, while Chelsea's investment just built on what was already one of the Premier League's most successful clubs. I've got nothing against Man City or their investment, but those are just the facts at hand and its often overlooked by other supporters without "ball knowledge".

As a Man Utd fan this is the worst squad of players we've had since the 80s. No style of play. No balls in to the striker. Goalkeeper gives away a goal a game. The manager doesn't want any of out Centre backs. If you're going to play with two wingers that cut inside 100% of the time you should play with a false 9.. Cause an out an out centre forward is pointless. These foreign managers have taken the English DNA out of our football. Out and out Centre forwards are now I dying breed. I'm finding football rather boring.

Chelsea is not as bad as some claim they are! Let's not forget that Chelsea were up 2-0 and Arsenal weren't allowed to take a shot on goal for over 70 minutes while being down by two goals and if it wasn't for that gift from Sanchez Arsenal would've left the Bridge defeated. Let's not forget that Chelsea drew against City who got a gift of a penalty that couldn't be a penalty in a million years so if Chelsea is that bad how comes they can do that or steamroll over Fulham at the Cottage? Most of these Chelsea players are young and unproven so they will be inconsistent and not to mention that most of these boys haven't seen a season together unlike all the teams above Chelsea on the table. We should be informed when we criticised a situation i'd suggest!

The hateand jealousy for CFC is just awful. With the entitled fans of some of these so called big clubs that are not 'manufactured', prior to Abrai CFC won trophies too. Because they didn't win the league title for 50yrs doesn't make them a manufactured club. Within the last 20 years man UTD and Liverpool spent alot too.
