Remember -- Biles's emotional/mental trials had to do with more than the pressure she was under as an athlete, as unreasonable and arbitrary as some of those rules and restrictions may be, and as pernicious as the body-image pressure definitely is. She was living with the trauma of having been molested by that ghoul Nassar -- by her own admission, it was tearing her up inside. and it finally came to a head in Tokyo. We can't forget the damage that he did to her and so many others, and the ramifications it has had and will continue to have for a long time.
I can't even imagine male gymnasts being subjected to this level of disrespect, nice for them they're not forced to compete wearing only a sequined jockstrap.
I was a competitive gymnast in the 80s and 90s and the rules are ridiculous. We would have to glue those leotards to our butts, because you got a deduction, if your leotard gave you a wedgy, which it tends to do when you’re speeding through the air and doing intense physical sports
The only thing that really bother me is most countries let the girls butt cheeks hang out or the uniform is up their butts as far as biles is she may have more world medals but nothing compare to the Russia female with 19 Olympic medals
