That's amazing. I know less than nothing about gymnastics, but seeing it in slow motion the first two thoughts I had were (1) it looks like she went fifteen feet in the air, and (2) that looks a lot like Ricky Rudd's crash at Daytona in 1984.
I saw this in person. I'd say she over doubled her height. All the girls double their own height on their double passes. But, I'd estimate Simone went 2.5 times her height by just eye-balling it. She probably went 12-13 feet high.
Ladies and Gentlemen, your 6 time National Champion of Womens Gymnastics......a 4 foot 8 inch human sprite! Simone Biles.... Congratulations, Simone! And I apologize for this, no harm intended: Cry. Get mad. Smack something, curse your head off, say the C word if you must. Or forgive but not forget. Protect by speaking. You are human after all. Even if you can do unhuman things in gymnastics, you still are a human being with feelings. And it's all good. You let what you need to fly FLY!! But once this is done, there is no going back to it. Its done. put away in a trash bag at the curb, to never be acknowledged by you in A VICTIMS POINT OF VIEW! It is to be acknowledged, but as a lesson learned, clues or signs on what to look out for to prevent others from victimizing and potential victims. Take away its power of harm and turn it around to proactive & preventative measures. And you must keep the blame balanced with this proactive & preventative attitude. Or you will never overcome it fully. Be happy, for that is the way to hurt him the most aside from death itself!
I went to this competition. The girls are also a lot skinnier in person than they are on camera. The camera adds 10 pounds at least, maybe 15. I was a little concerned considering how much body shaming there is social media. And what with the camera zooming in on their butts in leotards-no woman is flattered at that angle. I couldn't believe how skinny MyKayla Skinner is. She's bordering on anorexic. Simone looks muscular and normal on camera-she's a twig in real life. The younger girls look like children. The body shaming of gymnasts is completely unwarranted. If anything, they need to gain weight.
hmmm does it mean if I joined such competition then I would be the first woman to do this? My bestfriend and I have done this several times when we were in Junior high school for fun. My mother convinced me to take part in gymnastics but I don't like it. I bet a lot of women or people have done it. It is sad that she was seen first on TV. Anyways, kudos to other performers who did not get such recognition.
@@Jayloc05 Why would I do that? I have every right to verbalize my thoughts and opinions about the said matter. If you don't like such comment then why are you here in the first place? I bet you did not even go to college that youtube is a video-sharing website in which people can convey their idea about the video.. COMMON SENSE IS NOT SO COMMON. smh
