Measures the oxygen content of the exhaust gasses. If it's in the green it's a perfect burn. Gives an instant warning if things are going wrong - far faster than EGT can.
Nice man , i am in the process of breaking-in my simonini mini 3 , with magic Trike and Touch Wing from ACE Aviation, Can i know what size of prop are you using and how many blades wood or CF, i have doubt i m using over size prop and i am facing over heating issue. Regards Anees
Michael Pollard thanks for your reply , I m facing problem of high EGT above 5000 RPM , with 185 main jet bing 54 carb , done many settings On carb including air screw on half till 2 turn open and main meddle clip on bottom to make it rich but got more worse, can u please advise me what size of main jet and how many turns air screw settings are you using , it will really help me , for now I m 5 hours on my engine with 3% oil mix premium 98 octane gas, Cherrs Anees
Lambda sensor do not work on two stroke do to oil burn, the measurement is done but, not correct, the air fuel ratio must be 14.7:1 the oil burn will miss read that value If you want your tow stroke engine to last you can add a fuel injection system using MAP sensor , knock sensor , EGT and CHT Values to change air fuel mixture and Advanced Timing. I did that on my rotax 582 today with 235 Flight Time with no problem
Odd that - given that you can clearly see one working here. They absolutely do work in 2 strokes. The Easytune is specifically designed for 2 strokes and the probe chosen to not to oil up. This instrument is used extensively in Australia by the Paramotor/Microlight/and Karting communities.
