SIMPLE 1.21 CREEPER FARM TUTORIAL in Minecraft Bedrock (MCPE/Xbox/PS/Switch/PC)

Some tips for those who are building it from scratch: Instead of using trapdoors for the ceilings, you can actually use buttons instead (which are half the cost) as they have the same height as a trapdoor. (They didn’t work before as mobs spawned on the corner instead of middle of the block). Also instead of using trapdoors and buttons to spawn proof the floor, you can use slabs instead which are cheaper than both. Coral fans are also a better substitute for the trapdoors on the side of each block (if you can get them), with the added benefit of not having any solid hit box, minimising the chances that the creepers get stuck. Pls like so JC sees this.

I’ve never made a farm beyond very basic fully manual farms, like crops, farm animals, occasional spawner if I find one. This was a fun project and I’m glad I got it to work! Got some other rando mobs spawning in there so I had to painstakingly check each spawn floor to find the missing button or trap door, but it’s up and running perfectly! Thanks for the guide!

If you built his last creeper farm, I was able to get it working again by replacing every other button with a trapdoor like he does in this video.

Just what i needed 🫂 In exchange of some gun powder you can get stacks of bone if you dont add trapdoors to the ceiling, i added a item sorter and auto crafters, arrows, flesh and equipment get dispensed to lava, powder into a chest and bone>powder>bone block>chest, you also get redstone, glowston, etc from witchs.

Cool tip: you can crouch under water and place a block next to a piece of kelp. You don’t need to put blocks from the bottom of the ocean :D

june 23 , the farm works perfect for me. bedrock 1.21.1 on pc, I also only did 3 layers and a roof because I was lazy but it still works and I got an entire inventory of gun powder from it. I also didn't slab the roof and just placed torched everywhere. I will update this comment after adding 3 more floors and slabbing the roof and let you guys now if I notice any difference. -build it in the middle of the ocean -I used cobblestone and wooden stairs -at first I wasn't getting any mobs but I reset my computer and the game , changed the difficulty and also slept on the platform that is 4 blocks down. Doing all this should help them start to spawn.

for anyone wondering how much gun powder you get.. 9 stacks per hour or 4.5 stacks in a half hour or 1.5 stacks in 10 minutes 15 gun powder per minute (with a looting III sword)

Can I make other ocean type farms around this like fish and drowned farms or will it mess it up?

this farms works well, one thing tho, its very expensive for early game and i wouldnt recommend people building this very early on. Bewteen midgame and endgame is a good time to actually build this, because with enchantments and other items its easier to transport and obtain items! good job!

Awesome farm dude. One heads up. I built the farm on Bedrock on my iphone. Wanted to just go away and stand there for the experience, so I built a cage of glass around the top, to not worry about Phantoms. Last I saw I was at level 59, excited about the enchanting I would do, and laid down to nap for a few hours. When I woke up, I had died. Went back up, and it was clear that somehow, beyond me, a creeper in the kill box exploded and blew the kill box all to hell. Also lost my looting 3 sword. Fluke?

Why am I getting other mob drops in the farm? How do I fix that?

Works great! Just finished building it. Occasionally spawns zombies and skeletons, but that's probably my mistake somewhere along the lines. Very detailed and easy video.

Use coral fans instead of trapdoors for the spawning layer drop holes, creepers still see them as a pathfinding block but cant hang on the edges, and forget the solid roof.. do the grind and build the roof without the overhang out of tinted glass and make walls around the farm to keep it dark, this stops surface spawns from being rejected and instead makes them spawn on the top spawn layer improving rates. Also.. going up 128 blocks is for sim distance 6+ as the spawn radius will be 24 - 128, sim distance 4 uses a radius of 24 - 44 so you can build your afk platform 44+ blocks above ocean level, and you have 24 blocks above minimum for 1st spawning layer and 44 blocks max for the top most layer, but id recomment less high for the top due to potential despawn issues from creepers spawning near the edges of the spawn radius. Sorry this was so long, but hope it helps someone 🕊

Well I’ll be back when I’m not depressed anymore because I was building this and I was about 80 percent done and then my power went out and I lost all 6 shulkers boxes of stuff and my elytra because my last save was right before I went the 3000 blocks to get it in the end
