SIMPLE 1.21 SQUID AND DROWNED FARM TUTORIAL in Minecraft Bedrock (MCPE/Xbox/PS/Nintendo Switch/PC)

This is insanely works,relateively I also made the aquatic farm yesterday for squids but the efficient of that one to get ink sacs is just too slow.This one is the better choice for anyone just want to get ink sacs.Also always appreciate JC's works for our bedrock players, my English pretty sucks, hope you could unmderstand what I'm saying.

To optimize for ONLY ink sacs: simply make your second row of wall blocks light-emitting blocks; this way, no item-sorter/incinerator add-ons are necessary, which will increase your efficiency and storage capacity. I didn’t want rotten flesh because I’ve already built JC’s gold farm, so I went with sea lanterns as part of the wall to disable drowned spawns. I built this as an add-on to my guardian farm (also by JC) for easy dark prismarine, so the sea lanterns fit thematically. But jack-o-lanterns, shroomlights, or glowstone are all great options depending on what you have available and what you’re going for aesthetically. Enjoy afk’ing at this wonderful farm ‘round the clock, and thanks for another great tutorial, JC!

If i could make a suggestion: place a Lilly pad so you don’t have to go to bottom of ocean and build up from the Lilly pad (you can break it and add a block under neath where the Lilly pad was

I actually combined this farm with the drowned farm you made by putting leaves 15 block high and 6 block going outward off the farm so that drowneds will spawn during the day, though so far none of them drops tridents so for now it's pretty useful if you want to collect rotten flesh and Nautilus. Just a heads up if any of you is wondering. Pretty great video as always JC!

Man this thing cranks! I made a couple modifications, added some light blocks to the walls and replaced the magma blocks with a water stream leading to a trident killer in the center with a skulk catalyst to eat the xp (placed it floating 1 block down &1 block over from hopper minecart, then surrounded it with trap doors so it doesn’t spread skulk) so the farm only produces ink sacs. With a looting III sword it puts out about 23 stacks of ink sacs per hr! Just what I needed to get more dark prismarine from my guardian farm! (Sorry, but I built Silentwhisper’s guardian farm, the single spawn farm was a great start, but just wasn’t putting out enough for me) if I didn’t already have a separate drowned farm, I probably would’ve kept the drowned spawns for some tridents.

I enjoy your vids but was wondering if you could make an automatic cherry blossom tree farm as I love using it to build but never have enough to finish my build also a bonus would be to make it with no bonemeal needed thank you for your time

i have all your builds and a few others tutorial builds one i think you would love is using soul sand at the bottom of an ocean pit in a staggered checkerboard design ten by ten area then outline the bubbling area at the surface the bubbles will force everything that swims in from the bottom all the way to the surface then create a collection are with an overflow are that leads to camp fires above hoppers to collect you get every type of sea creature including Glow squid, squid, all fish, turtles, bones, and rotten flesh it can be at the surface because you collect all spawns from the bottom of the pit so no need to add ladders up and AFK area you may want to add auto sorter to help out

do you get better rates with magma blocks rather than a trident killer? 'cause with a triden you can use looting but I wonder if they spawn faster with magma blocks

I slightly modified this farm by putting solid blocks instead of magma blocks and have mobs to be dragged into a 2x2 hole and built a trident killer. If you hold a looting sword with that, you get even better rates and this farm is working great. Also, if you are like me who only wants to farm squids, you can light up the farm and afk at night as well

Do I need to build it over an ocean? or will it work just fine over a medium sized lake? the lake is spawning squids.

Tip if you want to turn this into a trident farm as well, just replace the magma blocks with solid blocks and a water stream carry the mobs to a trident farm

I built the farm and it was working yesterday just fine I get on today to afk while I eat lunch and come back to see it not working at all no squid’s are spawning anymore, when it turns night tons of drown spawn but I get 0 squid and I need black dye does anyone know the issue?

In my building of this farm I've also gotten quite a few trident from this farm I think it's happening because a drowned with a shell dies and before the shell gets picked up by the mine cart the drowned with the trident is picking it up and gives its trident

What if we do an additional water stream in the middle that pushes the mobs into a trident killer instead of magma blocks? That way we could use looting 3.

As a little upgrade replace the middle magma block section with a water trough that funnels mobs to a 2x2 hole - make the floor of the hole magma blocks and minecart pickup the same as the original design, but now add a trident killer that can be switched on if you want to get some tridents from the drowned as well. The rates will be slightly lower, because the mobs will take a bit longer to get to the magma blocks and die, but you will get some additional loot. You might even boost the rates, if you hold a Looting III sword.

I've built a lot of your build and they usually all work. But recently the kelp farm I had made stopped working because the glitch was patched. Could you maybe make another automatic kelp farm

Im not 100% sure, but if u make a dark room then drowned spawn on day time, at least my mob farm was spawning them while building and was a pain

If the aesthetics and scale of my farms are more important to me than "maximum output", what things should I consider. As in: You said that building as high as you do and as far away from land are to maximize the number of squids that spawn. Could a small scale surface building work at all?

I must have done something wrong cause it isn’t working for me I have sat at the farm for over twenty minutes and reset the mob spawns still nothing

If you want to increase the rates of the farm lower your simulation distance to 4 and render distance to the minimum, at least for me it works that way

No squids are spawning for me, only drowned. Any ideas of what I did wrong???
