These are so easy to do but so pretty. I love how you added the glitter to give them some shine. Thanks Sasha & good luck with the house. It looks like it’s going to be beautiful.
I was just going to my craft area to make a card when I got the notification for your video. I'm sure my niece will like my rendition! Thanks for the great e at video. Good luck with the renovation.
Lovely idea and a great way to use what we have already. Good luck with the building work - unfortunately it has to get worse before it gets better 😕, but it will all be worth it in the end 😀🎉 xx
The house renos sound like they will be lovely when finished! Life can't always cooperate with youtube :) Great techniques and results too! Thanks for sharing
Wonderful job, Sasha! And your renovation progress is impressive. I think we can "forgive" you for being a day late. :) I was out-of-town yesterday anyway - no crafty time, even on World Card Making Day - so as far as I'm concerned you're right on time. Love how your cards came out. Thank you for the tip about the foam pad under the cardstock you're stamping on. I've done that with solid stamps, but a reminder is always good. And thanks for demonstrating different types of ink for the background stamping. Very helpful. I hope you are all doing well, & that your renovation goes smoothly. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
oh yes!!! I totally forgot it was that day!! Id been seeing it in emails from all sorts of craft companies as well. ha ha, so yes i'll take that oopsi as a nice coincidence
Dear Sasha, thank you for another amazing inspirations video - I love that you do not try to tell us we need all the lastest products (we know all by ourselves that we do - as well as why we cannot always have them all 😊). Instead you give us ideas how to use what we have in creative ways. Kind regards from Germany, Nicola
Sasha, I absolutely LOVE this technique! I've got to do an education night with a group of women in a local addiction recovery home and this will be so simple and beautiful for them to learn! Thank you soooo much! ❤
Hi. These are gorgeous cards, they're a bit like a glam stepped up version of the watercolor acrylic stamp block cards you did ( quite a while ago now ). It would be so easy to go mad on this style in every colour way you could think of. I bet by Christmas you'll have a home every bit as fabulous as your cards! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing video. 😃
Yes you can do this same thing but a water colour version if you wet the block and use water soluble inks. Similar but different, another fun effective way to do the same technique. I love using blocks as backgrounds
Woo hoo! I'm already happy just a few mins in... I've actually got that stamp set, which doesn't often happen!! Always makes me feel a bit more secure in my craft when i can start out at roughly the same point and then go off on my own little tangent later! And thank you for the advice on inks, glues etc. That was really useful to me.
Hi Sasha. Thanks for another outstanding video. Very insightful and informative. That's why we love you. You don't force the sale of products. You give us options and various ways to use a product to produce different results with the same "use what you've got" stamp/dies etc. All the best with your renovations. It's going to be fantastic once completed. Keep well. God bless you and your family. 💞🤗
Awe Noreen yo are always so lovely and encouraging. I do love new products, but i dont always want tons of new ones. I started out like that when i first got going in crafting, and very quickly your space can become overwhelming and cluttered. Dont get me wrong, i have FAAAAAAR too much right now. However, once im in my new office upstairs, i will be doing a huge huge clear out and just keeping the things i use the most to hand!(i cannot wait to do that) I want less stuff and more space. The more space i have the more my creativity flows
😃 How Exciting on the progress being made in your house! It will all be worth it when it's finished. Love your cards Sasha, as always. Will definitely have to try it. 😊 Have a Blessed Day!
I came across inking with the blocks when I first started crafting but I'd forgotten all about it. Thanks for the reminder and sharing your great designs. Good luck with your renovations 🦋
Stamping with an acrylic block is such a simple and quick way to make a card. It was interesting to see the different effects with different inks. I’m not a very sparkly girl (unlike you Sasha!) but I did like the sparkle. I have a glue pen and I think sparkly glitter, so I’ll have a go. Enjoy your new loft space! I hope your craft room isn’t up there. Mine is right next to the kitchen.
ha ha, i do love sparkle a LOT! using a clear glitter gel pen would probably work as well to be honest. I know quite a few people dont like glitter- it's the aftermath for a lot of people ( i have a good hoover :) ) Thank you so much for 'hanging out' with me Sheryl
Congratulations on the renovation. I know it can be stressful (from experience) especially when you are living with it! Love your designs and thanks for sharing them.. Also wanted to mention I watched a video of yours from about a year ago where you used your foil with double sided adhesive and beautiful leaves and branches. It has inspired some ideas for Christmas cards, so thank you for that as well!
atack of magazines will work in place of foam. you can also use tombow glue to make gold leaf stick…let the glue dry it will be tacky when dry… put gold leaf on, use bone folder to burnish.. it’s very rough looking, just the look i wanted. 🌸
Those turned fantastic! and quick! I'm gonna try this with glitter nail polish though. If that works, they'll be even quicker!! Also!! those blender pens from SU are still one of my favourite tools ever! enjoy your new window and stairs.. nice to hear you're moving UP in your world! 😉☺ teehee
Thank you so much for these amazing ideas, did notice you mentioned you made your own sentiments would love to see a video clip on that process. Always looking for ideas. x
Oh I absolutely love your videos I love your voice and I mostly love the cards you did tonight I think those are so clever and I’m sorry if everything is in a mess at your home but renovation can be fun once it’s finished obviously so good luck and don’t ever worry about the Saturday night thing it’s not a big deal I’m watching you on Sunday and I’m loving your video
Not being Saturday night is no problem for me (in Australia) as I am watching this on a Monday. LOVE your work and the cards. You and Natasha Foote are my absolute must watch youtubers. Best wishes with your renovations.
ThNk you Sasha. Such useful information and tips about different uses of the various inks which I’m always confused about. Super results for simple but lovely cards.
I love the look of the bold stamps against the simple distressed background. The shimmer & shine on the leaves really stepped it up. I hope your renovation continues with no setbacks and you'll be able to get the house just the way you want it. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you Lucy. Im so excited, the stairs are going in right now, and i cannot wait to get up there and see our new space! One of the rooms will be my new office
Hello Sasha, another great tutorial and so simple to do! Can't wait to try out this technique. Hope you'll give us a little walk through of your renovations! Take care, God Bless you and your family 🙏😊
