Dan, you saved our day today with your advice shifting foot to foot to help move a grounded narrowboat. Our bow ground out on the LL canal whilst winding and was well and truly stuck! I remembered this video and it worked! Thank you!
Good knowledge. Just wondering, I realize you don't have a boat now but it would be nice to see some longer vids with just walking beside a canal with some narration or adlibbing a story. Also was wondering if you would consider buying a GRP for short day excursions, one advantage is that if the motor goes out its a simple matter to exchange for another outboard motor.
Hello, yes weather permitting I would love to do some longer canal walks and talks! Also I would definitely consider a GRP boat for short term stays, but I would probably want to get one a bit cheaper than the current going rate for limited use!
@@SortOfInteresting Took a look at Apollo Duck offerings and there is a 25' Trad. "Connie" with outboard motor in Leicestershire, quite a distance but canals all the way to your area. Asking price is L14,500 or USD ~18,000, recent survey and some work done, hull blackened this month. Looks tempting.
