Thank you Erin. I recently looked into this and discovered that some VA's have complicated process for onboarding client's. I like your approach. Thank you 🌸
Erin, this was gold. Many VAs aren't business people so they don't necessarily know how to run it in a client-friendly way. It's good to see a peer in this work reaffirm my approach because I have my concerns about this [same approach I've been taking] but hearing you explain why you do things this way makes sense but my god I hate the inefficiency of it. Though, it's true. It builds rapport and gives the client a chance to collab and see how you work before they move on without you due to the potentially tedious onboarding process. This video is helping me re-think how I'm going to adjust my onboarding process. Thank you so much for sharing your digital copies💰💰💰-17yr Virtual EA/PA/Admin Specialist
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I have been overthinking and overwhelming myself with how I want to onboard my clients. Literally this was holding me back from launching.
Amen, I'm working through a VA company at the moment and the documentation they want the client to complete through onboarding is so so convoluted, repetitive and laborious. Hold the clients hand with the extra info and do the work for them.
YES! Oh my goodness yes. I've also seen some VA companies send out entire onboarding books that required them to be on the phone to explain it. And then they'd get mad when they client wouldn't find the time to book the call!
I love your videos Erin. I thank you because I go over it thinking how I am going to start and get clients, but with every video I get to watch from you , I learn more.
This is what I need right now. Thanks Erin I am currently starting a new Job as an EA and my client doesn't even know what to do and I'm afraid I'm gonna lose this chance of work.
Oh gosh! A) congratulations! B) I hope your client can be patient - the learning curve for you both can be tough hit worth it! I suggest that you ask your client for AT LEAST once a week check ins by video (or in person) to check in on what’s going well and what can be better. It will help! Good luck to you!
This client onboarding is so helpful thank you. How do you start at the beginning for them to do a jump call with you? Did they find you on linkendin or your website? Do you have a lead form with a questionnaire for them to fill out first before they jumped on a call with you? What are the beginning steps before the call? Can you please provide that info for first time VA's. thank you!
Thank you so much for this valuable video! Im still learning and haven’t started working yet, but do you have a video explaining what to talk/ask about during the initial exploratory call you mentioned? Thanks!
Ah, thx so much for sharing this Erin. I am not a VA, but I use almost the same freelance writing onboarding process. I always thought, my onboarding process is not 'fancy' enough 🤣
I bought from contract provider booking form and they said to send terms of business with contract plus data processing form. What do you think about this? 🙂
What alternative ways is their to get a call with the client if you do not have a website yet? Is there a lead form that you insert on your profile? Any suggested advice for inspiring new beginner VA's on a budget will help. If you have a video on this please send me the link. Thank you so much!
@@ErinBooth Oh I see so use linkendin as my to network if I do not have a website lined up right? Got it that for sure I can do. I was wondering if I do create a business page from my personal Linkendin page. Can my employer see my side hustle as a VA? Please let me know. thank you!
I have a few reverse Q's (from the client side): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--2-ngRlLvQ4.html & ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HlGZUfQTMug.html, as well as a quick tip for the most common question. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--bRvEuNHibc.html. I'm going to be releasing a discovery call and interview course on Udemy around Sept 1 too!
I sure do! I send invoices to 2 clients who are Solopreneurs and too small to want to set up direct deposit. For my larger (corporate) clients however, I prefer direct deposit of funds into my bank account.
